even if the dogs arent aggressive, and they still shoot the dogs,we cant say anything,can we?

i've never heard of council members being charged with killing an innocent dog before in my life.
it's always "the dogs were violent,so we had to shoot them"-and they get away with it without any kind of investigation whatsoever

that's what i feel is unfair.
they say max per house hold is 2/4 dogs.
they dont go into specifics and mention if that is for large/small breeds.
they just round all up as "dogs".

how can one compare a pomeranian to a st bernard?

She needs about 20 t 30 bags of 15kg dogfood each month, and also many bags of rice.

Anyway, if she is required to move, then it will be hard for her.... for now, the land is loaned to her by the kind landlord... I think that is what I heard.... anyway, back to topic.... best to stay within the topic....

Added on May 28, 2007, 11:26 pmWell, our council has not been very kind towards animals.... so killing an animal or pet, to them it is nothing.... they never realise that a pet is a family member to us... So best if we take precaution loh. So far the incident where 13 dogs were shot in the owners home, an investigation did take place but then the case died coz nobody followed up in the papers.

True about the size of dogs.... the rule they have not change for the past years.... last time people only keep mongrels or large breeds.... rarely small so to them, 2 dogs means medium or large breeds....

Frankly if no 1 kacau(neighbour or someone who busy body) I think shouldnt be big problem of applying license.

I always let my prince run everywhere in housing area, so I think is safer for him to applied, if not later MBPJ come take my prince away

I think lah, eventhough ur dog have license, and if they really see ur dog running around and dun like them, they still can catch them, shoot them, then claimed that the dog violent lah, attack ppl lah....... Wat can u say then?? They r the boss.

No... Selangor and KL will not shoot dogs.... sigh.... all think shoot coz the other states city council hire dog shooters... not animal control. In KL, DBKL is in charge and they never kill dogs if they see them stray. Round up, catch and bring to DBKL dog pound. The license is also needed coz easier to claim back dog if caught. Aggressive dogs is those that kill people.... now only those dogs they will shot by law.

before i moved into my new house my old neighbour faced da same thing too. keeping 2 mongrels, barking when strangers pass by.
1day da authorities came wif a warrant, wanted 2 take away those 2 poor dogs, they were like "i don care as long as got ppl complaint den ur dong is gone"
dunno wat happened later, she got bac her dog, i think by back door ras*ah.

Aiyah... as a dog owner, we must be responsible not to let our dogs become a problem to neighbours.... If a cat's meowing can drive us crazy, a dog's barking can drive others crazy as well so we must be considerate.

Also, the authorities will not straight away take the dogs.... only after 2nd warning and no action taken by owner then only can they take the dogs.... so be friends with your neighbour.... if you are not gonna be friends with them, then they can be evil and report bout your dogs.

DBKL doesn't put all dogs to sleep.... only the stray that are bitey or sickly are put to sleep. Those with collars or license or are friendly and healthy are then sent to the SPCA to see if can rehome from there. I have spoken to them already to get the real facts.... so this is not "I heard from someone" story....

Added on May 29, 2007, 11:31 amIf you are in KL, go to DBKL, if you in PJ or SJ, get in touch with the local council and buy license.... I already put up the price, RM10 only.

All dogs should have license, don't care what breed, what size, what age.... as long you live in a neighbourhood community, it is responsible to get the license.

Recently, i just apply 4 license for my 8 dogs...because my neighbour who never stay in this house of his from the day he brought, complain to MPSJ that i have more dogs in my household that it should. I have 3 in the front (24 x 40) , 2 inside the home (24x 30) and 3 at the back of my home (24 x 15). The reason of complain have nothing to do with my dog being noisy or dirty cuz they only make noise during mealtime and of course got stranger walk pass by near my home and i pick up their poo and wrap with layer of newspaper so it doesnt create any foul smell. The reason he complain because he cannot sell or rent his home, so he filed a complain to my household. So never mind, being a responsible owner i am, i apply license to all my dog but i break it to two time visit, 4 each time. I remove one of my dog from my front porch to my factory.
So it already been a month since the complain, many visit that home but no avail..no one interested in buying or renting the home....you know why..cuz the house was in devastated stage. Roof is leaking, there is crack all over the wall, paint peeling off and etc....so he still hope he can sell or rent the home without fixing anything....how amazing....90% who when to see the place complain his home and praise that we have dog and can protect them...how amazing....

By the way...when i went to apply the license, the officer in MPSJ was very nice, she explain everything nicely to me and i was able to get it done in less than 30 min. Sadly we only can 4 dog when your home is 5X bungalow land...cuz even corner home of mine only allow 2 dogs...this is the only thing i find it ridiculos. Other than that, i am good...

On my second trip to apply another 4 license for my remainder dog, i was sent home from MPSJ with empty hand because they running out of dog tag. So temporarily, they will not take any action to those dog without license until a new batch of dog license tag is ready by the MPSJ.

I have a wonderful experience...by the way, i am looking for a new home so i can have peace of mine with my dog and the other dog from the factory can come home and united with his brother and sister.....

OH wait, it depends on each council, just in case, bring along your dog's vaccination card as well.

eh.. my husband told me that the dog licsence no stock ler.. is this the way to describe? he also said they wont take action during this moment..
