Hmm......I assume you already updated those network chip drivers? Check for "offload" stuff at device manager for your network chip.

Second, do you use QOS functionality in both routers? If so, disable it.

i updated both driver as you speak.  can u share more regarding to offload stuff u mentioned.

i do not use any QoS for both router

Set the 'offload' aside first....

I would like to know how you connect first 850l to second 850l.
Yes, I know you mentioned you are using LAN cable, but may I know between which port?
Can you draw a simple diagram of LAN cable and which router port being connected?

I have a suspicion....... hmm.gif

EDIT:
user posted image
Do you connect via the RED line or BLUE line?

If the offload is shown as your pics above. it is already set enable on default for both pc and laptop.

I am connecting the both DIR850L using red line.

1st DIR850L

Input = BTU
Output = LAN 1 to 2nd DIR850L
LAN 2 to Nvidia Shield

2nd DIR850L ( device mode = router mode , dynamic IP )

Input - Internet Port ( yellow colour )
Output - LAN1 port to desktop

Is my configuration correct ?
*
doh.gif Technically right, at the same time wrong.

Please connect via BLUE line.
Before connecting via BLUE line, MUST disable DHCP (ipv4 and ipv6) on 2nd router.

edit: reason = to avoid WAN to LAN routing/translation on 2nd router, I still don't understand why you still get 350Mbps when you connected your laptop via lan to 1st router though.......
Only ipv4 without NAT acceleration tends to result in 200 - 350Mbps speed. NAT acceleration will be disabled if traffic statistics and QOS being used. But since you said you don't use QOS for both router.......IPv6 doesn't have this issue.
Could it be MTU issue? rclxub.gif

Dear john,

Thanks for assisting me throughout this. Currently i adjust my connection as your recommendation. Under repeater mode on the 2nd DIR850L router using the blue line configuration. The results are still the same which only could obtain up to 350 mbps.

At  first , i thought my router is having problem, but tested on my android Nvidia Shield,  i managed to get it to full max 800. fyi, my ipv6 is not enable on my router. do i have to disable my NAT under ipv4 configuration ?
*
Hmm.....maybe you should check if it is caused by spectre and meltdown mitigation as posted by one forummer below?

QUOTE(Eterman @ Sep 1 2018, 06:55 PM)
i see, thanks for info, so it may be due to router limitations , rather than something wrong with the unifi port/line?

so, i think it is best to buy a cat 5e cable to test the actual speed i get, then only complaint and ask for port/line reset from TM ?
*
Just to be sure, test with CAT 5e cable. Don't TM stock router has extra cable bundled?

oh yes, forgotten about that. Just tested.

cable speed biggrin.gifL: 303 mbps , UL : 53.3 mbps

ok, so it probably router wifi limitations.  dry.gif

The upload speed for 300mbps account is about 50mbps , seems quite low when compared to download speed.  hmm.gif
*
Wait lor....pilot phase mah.....or you could contact tm live chat and ask if your unifi account speed is capped correctly.......

It’s been confirmed that TM has started auto-activation of Turbo upgrade with the capacity of 5000 accounts per day

Err....didn't you or someone say TM will mass upgrade (more than 5000) everyone from September onward?

No one. However, there are users reporting they got free upgrade to 8Mbps Streamyx.

They didn't get email or website checking either.

They got their free 4Mbps (yes, including your special RM88) to 8Mbps BEFORE and after the turbo announcement.

RAM cache exist for a reason.
Read and write operation can be coalesced in one off to reduce tear and wear on HDD.

i managed to get 800mpbs on laptop after i use windows app speedtest and internet explorer.

i couldnt manage to get more than 400mbps on chrome.

p/s: i just changed my first floor dir850L to asus rt-ac88u
*
~.~ can't get 400Mbps on chrome only eh? Probably CPU bottleneck from chome rendering engine? hmm.gif Oh well....
Remember, don't plug into WAN port for 2nd router, we don't want WAN to LAN routing/translation overhead.....although rt-ac88u cpu can handle it just fine..... laugh.gif

Upgraded to 800Mbps plan but the speed is not so great! I'm using ASUS router AC68U, connected to 5GHz Wi-Fi, tested on iphone x and iMac.
*
iphone x = 2x2:2 = 5Ghz 867Mbps LINK speed (433Mbps each), effective PHY layer speed is 400Mbps+

Let just say your receiving device/clients sucks. rolleyes.gif

*
Oh? Either both of you are in pilot phase with speed cap.....or you guys turn on 850L QOS function. Remember, if QOS being enabled, NAT acceleration (or whatever the brand name is) will not work.

Try speed test over here
http://www.myspeedmeter.net/
There are ipv4 and ipv6. Try Taiwan server.
Post the result of ipv4 and ipv6 speed test over here.

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Sep 4 2018, 03:58 PM)
Wired connection? If it is wired, try a different cable. If wireless, it does not support up to 800Mbps. See 1st page, 1st post, green text, for compatible routers and other relevant info.
*
Err.....first page is missing nat boost, nat acceleration, cut through forwarding, flow accelerator etc and the ipv6 part......

Haha, it might be too advanced and beginners won't bother to read it if it gets too technical. I was more suggesting other general info...
*
Aside from IPv4 NAT acceleration......

800Mbps users might wanna check if their win10 have an 'older' spectre microcode patch installed.
Remember the one core being maxed in for my old 3570k ivy bridge at 4.2Ghz? I only able to transfer around 650Mbps through the network interface.
Users with low cpu clock might get lesser speed.....~.~

turbo-ed but limited to 100m on wan from my hg8240w. other ports and cables tested its definitely the port is not outputting gigabit speeds.

anyone with the hg8240w facing the same issues? even on 100mbps just getting 92mb with wired connection
*
Already reboot the hg8240w? hmm.gif

Then can you post your IPv4 and IPv6 speedtest result?
http://www.myspeedmeter.net/
Please select Taiwan server (or other servers)

Yeap, already did restart the whole network. But upload is definitely already faster than 50mb previously so suspect the wan port.

But will try cat6 cable as suggested below.
Not many resource on the hg8240w online. But from what i got is yeah it supports gigabit.

Will try your suggestion of cat6 cable and see if it works.

Thanks.
*
How many wires in your LAN cable anyway? 8 wires or 4 wires? sweat.gif
If 4 wires = 100Mbps only.

Next, check if the 8 metal contacts from BTU and Router are fine.........(sometimes the metal contact position......off slightly)
