Easy enough replacement. Just a bit of hassle to take off front bumper because of plastic fasters won't come out. Bosch evolution fanfare bought for RM25. The old horn was dead no sound coming out.

Probably better get Bosch Strider because it got dust and water resistance.

Change. Mine clocked about 15,000km in 1 and half year already feeling sluggish. I think once per year change is good. 2 years is max.

But if you planning to change all the suspension parts better change all in one job. Save on the labor cost. Including parts cost, I think it should be under 2k I think?

As for parts... dont buy cheap "Mitsubishi" brand on shopee that claim to be OEM. Get some after market with a name or local brand. Those cheap part only last for 2 years before it shows sign of rubber degradation.

How hard is it to DIY change power window regulator and motor? Rain season, my power window finally decided to die on me.

passenger side weak. can go down but to go up need extra help, and only work with the engine on. if engine off but battery power on, won't budge.
driver side need a good whacking for it to work, but recently it refuses to work no matter how hard i hit the door.
main switch also stuck now, feels like the spring jammed already.

rear window cannot go up or down. many years ago, the mechanic was so tired with power window problem, I think I remember he said I didn't fix it but he made sure that the rear window won't go down again so I will never have power window problem.

postponed to fix this issue for 2 years because i was focusing on the suspension parts and engine.

Yea, mine also like that. Need to use the switch on the door, if use main switch the window is too weak

Just irdered part for front side include regulators and motors and main switch.. Total 200. Main switch not original.

I'll think about the rear window later.

Part arrived this evening.

Replaced main switch seems to fix passenger side window. Now it works better. Although I do think the power window still need replacing.

Now for the funny part. The driver side window actually nothing really wrong. There are two minor problems: wiring problem and installation problem. The wire carrying power for the power window was found dislodged from the socket, and the grounding wire on the window was loose. Grounding wire also found itself somehow lodged into the moving mechanism of the power window regulator, probably because of the loose screw holding it.

As for installation problem, the power window regulator was missing one screw. This makes the regulator moved up and down from its position causing so many problems. After digging up some box of screws leftover, found a 10mm screw that fit, problem fixed. Found that most of the screws holding the regulator was loose too.

Lesson here is: don't let clowns fix your car if you can fix it yourself. And make sure what is the main problem is before ordering parts. So, that about 70 ringgit down the drain. In fact, I feel quite stupid today.

Oh, on side note, for main power window switch, please get original proton. These aftermarket part not worth it, poor quality.

The mechanic I always send the car never known for wiring skills and electronics. But his charges are the lowest in town. Over these 2 years slowly repairing the car I found so many missing screws here and there. He knows that I only send the car to him ever for so many years, so when anything I found not right can send back to him, sometimes he don't even charge anything. Like one time I found the brake caliper screw was supposed to be 10mm, replaced by 9mm screw + metal wires to make it fit. Had a laugh over it and he replaced it for free lol.

oh fuk. i don't think there should be a grounding wire on the power window. this must be one of the shenanigans by my usual mechanic. it's 1AM can't sleep thinking of the mystery wire.

Sharing time. FYI, power window motor for Gen2/Saga can be used for Persona. However, the left side motor here is the right side for Persona. Right side motor is the left side for Persona.

In addition to that, you will need to reverse the polarity of the motor, otherwise if you press down on the switch, the window will go up.

So if you want DIY change power window by yourself, do note the seller which side you want or part. These sellers sometimes don't care. To avoid confusion, better buy at physical store or buy both sides, or find listing that specifically only for Persona, not Gen2.

Other thing that I learned:: if the glass somehow dislocated from the rubber at the sides of the door, bring down the glass to the bottom of the door, and start over. It took me an hour drenched in sweat to figure out this. Now my back and knees are sore.

More importantly, get the original tensioner. Price is about RM300. Aftermarket are no good.

Looks like have API cert, looks okay. Try search on API register to double confirm. Just as long as not JTX should be fine.

oh i think i confused Mizu with Bold.

Drive shaft already leaking. Just replace the rubber boot. Replace all the boot for both sides for peace of mind.

depends on the workshop if they got wiring guy. but i think most power window problem should be easy enough can go anywhere. accessories shop also can.

i replaced the alternator overrunning alternator pulley. cost like around 100. upah workshop should be another 70.

also good idea to replace the tensioner too. insist on proton original tensioner. the original should cost around 300++ right now. proton no longer make tensioner with metal roller, only plastic roller. tried various aftermarket tensioners, they all are no good.

100% confirmed it's the meter. Get it repaired. Need to change the thingy that moves the needle.

Check FB marketplace for meter repair guy. I suggest asking Gen2 group for dedicated meter guy.

Guys, do regular part store have brake switch in stock? Feeling like wants to DIY.

Today my brake switch decided to died out of nowhere. My brake light on all the time, somehow it affected the power window. Tried tugging wires around the brake, something feels hot. It was the wire connecting to the brake switch, somehow it shorted itself.
