In general, HiMedia S500 is a good option for running Android TV and the apps you can download using it from Play Store. It's main advantage over similar products is the enhanced picture quality coming from the HiSilicon chipset. looks like a quad core (not dual) Q16.

last firmware was 3.0.4 from 2016.

himedia website no longer has firmwares.

hi all, I'm using Q10 Pro and having this issue from time to time - the screen resolution setting set to 2160P/24, but it will auto change to 1080P from time to time, i have to manually switch it to 2160P/24....again, after few days or week, it will auto change back to 1080P...any of you encounter this issue before? thank you

this may be due to the order u switch on and off the equipment, some handshake issue.

try switching q10pro on LAST and switching off FIRST.

I couldn't get Dolby Atmos to passthrough on my Q10 pro using Kodi 18.5. I''ve enable passthrough n turned on everything under it in expert page. Any idea ?

The reason I use Kodi becuase the stock media centre cannot play the file, but kodi can but with Dolby Digital sound only.

kodi will not give u anything higher than DD/DD+.

Cannot play with media center. It's just a mkv file. Never have problem with any file before, only this particular file no video.

But can play with kodi or vlc, or even tv built in player.

I thought kodi can passthrough dolby atmos? This is the advise given by the Nvidia shield tv owner.

kodi audio output is not the same in all devices; some devices are optimized for kodi, others are not.

himedia doesn't care much about kodi becos they have native player whereas others dun hv, rely on kodi.

Just to check anyone still able to run Astro go on their q10 pro? Mine can’t. It says update require. And google AppStore didn’t show any updates. run the astro go apps and it stated not compatible with your device anymore

there are 2 usb slots, u can plug in 2 ext hdd; u also have the int hdd inside.

to copy/move files among the 3, u need a file manager.

just go to playstore and install one that u like - X-plore, Amaze, File Commander, Asus File manager.

all of the have file transfer capability.
