The app shows the card will be delivered in 5-7 days, is there any chance that I will receive it earlier than 5 days?

Excited about the new card.

it's possible to be earlier if no issues from citylink. 5-7 days is their standard delivery sla.

my new application applied @ 20 Nov (Tue), approved @ 22 Nov (Thu), till now havent received yet.

previously my 1st bp card was delivered about 3 working days after approval.

I see, thanks.

Hope it will be early. biggrin.gif

Just now it worked on my second attempt after killed the app and reload again. Subsequently 3 times also no issue.
At first I thought Boost rejects BP again, luckily false alarm. sweat.gif
*
They better not, the reason why I registered for Bigpay is because Aeon Plus couldn't be linked with e wallets like Boost.

Hope it's worth to ditch Aeon for Bigpay, and seeing the situation so far, it's definitely worth it.

I'm just curious, anyone here using Bigpay just as a prepaid card?

What would you do with those Big points? I don't fly that much often lol.

Good for young people.
I will get some BP for my children, they can use the card for shopping or buying movie ticket. Instead of giving them cash.

I use Big points to buy Airasia tickets,  but 1 big point is worth 1 sen only.
*
Yeah it's definitely good for youngsters, they can track their spending easily and you can top up for them whenever it's needed.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 26 2018, 10:34 AM)
that's the core function fo bigpay mah.... a prepaid card is still "empty" unless you reload it.

good feature is the ability to reload using credit card, and max wallet size of RM10k.
for me, the points are little bonus, no significant value to me anyway.
*
QUOTE(kyle_kl @ Nov 26 2018, 10:40 AM)
You can redeem other stuff like shopping and food voucher in their apps

I see, thanks. biggrin.gif

I remember that Bigpay mentioned about implementing NFC to their service when they just started, what happened?

Their NEW card has Wave logo already!

Probably app?

NFC is what they mentioned when they just started their service here.

But really, still no MYR wallet? It's been a while now, have you tried making it appear manually or contact their CS?

*
Bigpay is prepaid card, Boost and Grabpay are e wallets.

How can it even be related?

Was quite surprised, if Saturday is considered as business day, it only took them 2 days to deliver the card.

Large acceptance base doesn't really give Bigpay an advantage... Still a lot of people feel reluctant to use Bigpay.

ANDROID
Bigpay - 100,000+ downloads
TnG eWallet - 1,000,000+ downloads
Boost - 1,000,000+ downloads
Presto - 1,000+ downloads
Vcash - 100,000+ downloads
*
Because not everyone needs a prepaid card, or find it to be necessary when there are already DC and CC.

So it's unclear that who will be the winner here, but when it comes to prepaid card service, Bigpay is definitely taking a huge lead over the others.

As for e wallets, it's definitely Boost for now but Grabpay and TnG are trying very hard to compete and catch up.

The e wallet trend will just keep getting bigger from time to time, they just gotta fork out tons of money for promotions like what Boost is doing to retain their user base. Until they can cover the whole Malaysia in terms of merchant acceptance, and majority of Malaysians are using it, then they wouldn't have to worry anymore.

Weird, my friend share his referral code to two persons (including me), and we successfully activated our cards using his code, but he still haven't got prompted to change his old card to the new wave card. hmm.gif

Mine was immediate.

the moment 2nd card activated, my app showed the upgrade banner.

Is it possible that the referral thingy is already over?

He's not gonna purposely fork out 20 bucks for a new card, it's really unfair to users like him who registered for Bigpay when they just started here...

But he got the referral bonus though.

The free upgrade promotion to contactless card has ended. I guess he'll just have to wait for the next round of upgrade wave which should cover all existing users.

Guess he'll have to be patient for a little while then...

Anyways, thanks!

Info from the website is not updated

How did you manage to do that?

I thought it should be referring to 2 persons?

Mastercard is accepted almost everywhere around the world, so no worries.

And many Japanese like going cashless, especially using their own Suica card (which is like TnG).

Currently in Seoul and all transaction went smoothly with BigPay. So far only Starbucks would ask payment wanted to be in RM or KRW.

Good rate so far i received, didnt get a chance to withdraw at all, cashless all the way haha.

You can kinda blend in their completely cashless society...

Heard that people there buy everything using their cards everyday, even for just a bottle of water. Kinda wish that it could happen here, imagine using Bigpay and e wallets for everything.

The paypass function of the card doesn't seem to work at Sushi Mentai just now.

Had to go the traditional way... key in the password...

Anyone have problems with the paypass feature?
*
The Paypass feature is working just fine, it's either the terminal problem or you didn't pay using PIN before because you need to pay using PIN once when you got your card to enable the Paypass feature (not sure when you got your card though).

By the way, would love to hear you guys feedback on the small UI changes we've made on the app. What do you think about the new font, the icons, the new settings page, etc. It'd be very valuable for us. Thanks!

Liking it so far! biggrin.gif

Btw I just wanna ask about the issue with reloading e wallets, the current issue that many reported is with TnG e wallet. Mind if you can elaborate about why is this happening? I'm not using TnG, but I do use others like Boost, Favepay and Grabpay and they all work flawlessly so far, but I remember that there was a fiasco between Bigpay with Boost which caused users to not be able to reload Boost using Bigpay for a very long time, but I wasn't using Bigpay during that time of course.

Just wanna know the cause of the problem on previous case with Boost and with TnG e wallet currently, and is there a chance that it will happen again in the future?

That's the reason why I ditched my previous Aeon Plus prepaid for Bigpay, because it does what I want and it's a good prepaid card to use for daily purposes.

Wow if a phone can be hacked, can do hanky panky stuff like reload bogus amount?
*
It's possible, there's a reason why banking and e wallet apps don't allow the usage for rooted phones...

Yet some people are mad because they face such issue like really, don't whine when worst case scenario happens, rooting might be fun but it comes with some compromises.
