Where is NFC Payment???

Even Affin Bank launched their Affin Pay recently and it works with Visa Paywave terminals, it's not hard for Bigpay to do it too.

Interesting article I read
https://www.msn.com/en-my/money/personalfin...AAGsb9s?ocid=sf

Quote:
Want to avoid identity theft? Never, ever use a debit card. I don't own one. I never have and I never will. I don't recommend them to anyone — not my family, not my friends, not you.

As I said at the Google talk, a debit card is certainly and truly the worst financial tool ever given to the American consumer. Why? It's simple: Every time you use one, you put your money and your bank account at risk.

Instead, use a credit card. I use one for practically all of my purchases, even when I'm traveling abroad. With credit cards, federal law limits my liability if there's an unauthorized use of my card.

No one told you to use your one and only debit card that's for saving purposes to make payments...

Besides, who has only one debit card nowadays? An average joe would probably have at least 2, and one of it will definitely be used for savings while the other one for payments. Better yet, get a prepaid card for payments if one is that paranoid...

Don’t be so close minded and make it everyone’s standard just because you have your own standards. There are tons of people with only one debit. I still remember one of my bosses asked who takes car loan more than 4 years anyway because my company provides 4 years interest subsidy for car loan.

Don't just simply assume that I'm making my own standard as everyone's standard, how do you define that there are "tons" of people with only one debit? Based on the amount of persons that you know and met? That can't be considered as "tons" because you get more strangers around than people whom you have met...

It's the same thing as people who keep boasting about having credit cards and boasting how better it is, how is that different than the "close minded" thing that you're talking about? Everyone has their own standards, but having double standard is ridiculous.

BigPay Announces the Launch of Remittance Services

igPay, Air Asia Group’s fintech focused company announced today the launch of their international remittance service, which enables users to send money directly from Malaysia to bank accounts in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with no hidden fees and extra charges, they claim.

This is the first wave of BigPay’s international remittance rollout, with additional corridors to be announced in the near future.

Commenting on the launch Chris Davison, CEO and Co-Founder, BigPay said,

“We’re focused on democratising financial services in ASEAN, so it’s an exciting moment for us to be able to offer Malaysians a cheaper and better alternative to remit money,”

“Technology can dramatically reduce the cost of remittance and we want to make it easy for people to move money abroad – whether it is sending money to family, friends or other overseas payments – without having to pay exorbitant exchange rates and transfer fees. Approximately US$25 billion is lost globally per year through remittance fees and with BigPay we can change that. Financial inclusion is a cornerstone of BigPay and offering low-cost, accessible money transfers is part of that strategy.”

Despite the announcement, the function seems to be still grayed out within the app.

With this, the increase of users will probably double up lol...

It's the endgame for other prepaid card competitors.
