Hi BigPayJonathan, just wanna suggest something to add for the Bigpay app...

There's an app lately called Setel, which people can top it up and use it to pay for fuel in Petronas stations. But instead of showing 'Setel' in the transaction history, BigPay app shows 'Webonline Dot Com Sdn Bhd' instead, can the team do some tweaking with the name and adding the Setel logo as well?

Thanks.

Bigpay is so unreliable, app has been down until now, can't even top up.

You call that Challenge Banking? More like Challenge Users.

RHB the worst bro. Don't ever use it. Eat my card on Saturday I have to wait until Monday.
*
For some reason, RHB ATM's are really "hungry" for cards until it wouldn't wanna release it back out.

I've heard few cases from people I know that got their cards eaten by RHB ATM.

Btw, RHB sucks, no doubt.

QR code payment?
Well, could be redundant since it has the physical card.
*
Nah, there's already too much competition in the e wallet segment.

There's still tons of potential for NFC mobile payments since there are only little to few competitors (Samsung Pay, Maybank Pay, CIMB Pay) around and it's still a "new" thing here although it has been available here like years ago...

QUOTE(digidigi @ Apr 10 2019, 07:43 PM)
They don’t need it at the moment, mastercard is so much convenience and better than nfc locally
*
What I meant was linking the card to the app and use it for NFC payments at Mastercard accepted merchants...

It's like a virtual prepaid card for NFC, and then you also have a physical one if you wanna do the usual way.

I swear they stated that they were planning to introduce NFC payment feature like way back ago when they just started, and after so many years has passed, it's about time they do it.

NFC payments, although had tons of potential, failed to gain traction because of the implementation from competitors. Although the only successful one so far is Samsung Pay, it's still exclusive only to Samsung phones. Pretty sure Bigpay is able to revive the NFC payment solution if they implement it well.

Won't happen, and not a good idea, mainly the fact that Bigpay is not an e wallet, but a prepaid card service that comes with an app.

For those who withdrawn from CIMB ATM machine, did the machine prompted for PIN when BIGPAY card is inserted?

I have a friend who managed to withdrawn cash thru his BIGPAY card from CIMB ATM without keying PIN through the whole process. To me this is a very high risk if we accidentally lost our card.
*
CIMB...

Why am I not surprised?

Hi Guys & Gals,

I just got my BigPay card. Can we immediately use the BigPay card for overseas online transaction OR we need to activate some setting in the Apps?
*
Do as what avinlim mentioned...

And then...

To use the Paypass contactless feature, you gotta make the first transaction using PIN then only it will be enabled.

What is your wish?  wish.gif

This might sound useless, but it would make the app look perfect...

Bigpay logo start screen when open the app

I mean it's gonna be way better than the current one which only shows a blank blue screen for couple of seconds right?

It's just a slogan lol...

But one thing that can't be denied is that they really changed the game when it comes to prepaid cards, there's really no other that can beat Bigpay as of now, even Digi failed to even come up with a virtual prepaid card.

The fact that people are still paranoid about using contactless payments and reluctant about using mobile payments like e wallets, just proves further that there's still a long way to go for our country to have a cashless society, probably gonna take a decade if that ever happens.

Actually, card payment is still relatively underpenetrated in Malaysia and many people still not comfortable with cashless payments....NZ is one of the most penetrated....with less than 10%cash transactions....even buy newspaper can use card....
*
SK can buy a bottle of water using card.

Actually our country also can lah, just that have to be "muka tebal" sometimes cuz the cashier is most likely gonna give you a weird look, personally experienced that few times when using e wallet and BP to buy dirt cheap items, but it's my right to choose my preferred payment method so I don't really care.

Glad we still have people like you guys, there's still hope in turning Malaysia into a cashless society. biggrin.gif

Btw, I think it's because some are lazy to do more work on their summary sales report at the end of the day, gotta calculate the amount of transaction by card payments as well.

These are all just different payment systems....

Card based RFID system (wave, t n g) is well established....

Phone based via QR codes is another system....cheap setup cost, well penetrated in PRC....

Which do you all prefer?.....

Personally, I prefer care based.....
*
I prefer NFC.
