QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Jan 16 2019, 02:19 PM) Mind to help see if you can unfreeze it? I didn't dare to try freeze my card, but curious to know if I can freeze as I like (for additional security measure) and only unfreeze when I need to use the card. The last time I checked, I only found this : If you are certain that your card has been compromised, please freeze your card via the app and contact support immediately at 1300 13 3388 (local) or 03 7662 9200 (overseas) or via the app. Don't worry as the money in your BigPay account is safe and we will investigate the transaction in question and take actions as needed. QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Jan 16 2019, 04:22 PM) Yepp! You can definitely freeze and unfreeze as often as you like. I spoke to CS about it and asked if it would have any implications e.g. like trigger any alerts, or result in my card being blocked etc. thank you too sis. that's a good feature for me.They said freezing/unfreezing is just like locking / unlocking the card and some people only "unfreeze" when they want to use. For now, that's what I'm doing. I froze my card, but went online shopping last night. I just unfroze the card to load up my BP and perform the transaction, then froze it again. Works great! |

Search this thread and you'll know it's been reported before. The story goes that if you do the same thing on other sites, it works too. I was having problem with my Public Bank card. on shoppee It mysteriously failed and mysteriously works the next day. I delete my card details whenever I'm done shoppeeng.
shoppee should not be storing card details (doesnt matter they're stored by 3rd parties) if they can't handle the feature reliably. I've been buying things from other sites that don't store my card details for years, never had any problem. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 27 2019, 12:43 AM) Move on to Shopee issue, since it declines BP these days and can be solved by deleting and re-adding BP again. Now I have an issue though because I have requested for a cancellation and refund shall be made back to BP, will it have issue later? Post #8737QUOTE(hye @ Jan 22 2019, 08:49 PM) The reload will be made to the card that was used to make the purchase. Merchants would not entertain crediting back to a different card. You need to wait once Shopee execute the refund and then contact BP to move the credit to your new card. I'd advise you to monitor the refund progress both @ Shopee and BP. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 28 2019, 03:38 PM) the screenshot is the notification period before any variation to the product, i.e. bigpay. Thanks bro. A bit of fee is fine, they earn some, we earn some.if bigpay want to impose any fees, they need to submit a write-up to BNM and seek approval from the BNM (Consumer and Market Conduct Department). the 21 days period is normal for our bank/FI industry. QUOTE(tifosi @ Jan 28 2019, 04:09 PM) I love BigPay because I can top up from my CC and consolidate all my spending in a single card while getting rebate from all my CC issuers. I am not like most typical forumer to reload and withdraw (maybe done once or twice because hitting 10k limit). Same here. When I had only 2 cash back cards, wasn't a problem. Now that I've added more, pening trying to keep track which one has unutilized cashback to spend. Load everything into BP easier. But so far, I haven't been doing that except for those with weekly cashback to win, that's why i still pening. Trying to minimize giving banks false stats that people only load to cash out, so i still spend directly from credit cards. I don't really care about the points. But if it's classified as Cash Advance, it'll be in the drawer until I purchase any AA flight. This said, I think banks also offering similar features BP has planned. Everyone has their version of such products. Customers apply what they feel beneficial to them, not all products. QUOTE(digidigi @ Jan 28 2019, 04:31 PM) I don't think they need to. I think only a small percentage of people using it to make money from credit cards and I believe most of these people are not even interested in cashing out money from credit cards. More with the cashback. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Jan 28 2019, 04:45 PM |

QUOTE(digidigi @ Jan 28 2019, 04:49 PM) If it’s classified as cash advance means when u reload it is cash advance alr, who else will still reload into big pay? In my opinion, BP has no say in how credit card issuers categorize it as. If banks want to categorize BP as cash advance, then it'll be cash advance. Some banks allow BP for cashback, others allow Boost, but not the other way round. Entirely up to them banks.Prepaid same as phone. Load real money into it so that spending can be limited? You know, parents reload for their children for example. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Jan 28 2019, 05:00 PM |

QUOTE(siewty @ Jan 28 2019, 06:20 PM) I also hate paying Shopee with BigPay as it will deny transaction when you are using saved BigPay card in payment option. I hate shoppeeng at shoppee. Even normal credit card gets rejected sometimes. Somehow I don't feel it's BP problem.I have to DELETE the BigPay from Shopee and then add back, then only able to pay. Wondering, when will BigPay able to solve the issue with the shopee payment gateway. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jan 28 2019, 09:25 PM) Walk the talk first with proof that you guys are cheaper than instarem/moneymatch/max money when it comes to remittance. If you can offer better rates than them, you will have a loyal customer. You guys are just copying what Revolut done and Revolut have already set up shop in SG. It won't be long before they start to set up shop in Malaysia. And Revolut reach is wider than BigPay's. Hmm even the marketing wording sounds similar. |

Off topic but good for reading : https://www.finder.com/uk/revolut-vs-monzo
https://www.revolut.com/legal/fees/ still can top up with credit cards. I suppose BP's direction won't deviate much from these two? Maybe BigPay can add PIDM and https://www.digfingroup.com/tune/ This post has been edited by beLIEve: Jan 29 2019, 03:33 AM |

QUOTE(nitehawk @ Jan 31 2019, 04:21 PM) Shopee business model is very strange; you will lose "Free Shipping Voucher" after checkout before payment is completed and they claimed voucher is used. All other voucher except "Free Shipping Voucher" will recredited back into "My Voucher" after a few minutes. My free voucher came back out like half an hour or one hour later. Both shipping and shopping cart voucher. But my problem was with credit card, not BP. I think they're busy counting profits, no time to address the payment gateway problem. If I have read this thread earlier, I will not have lost 3 "Free Shipping Vouchers" BigPay support informed that Shopee has removed BigPay as their payment source since last Friday (25/1/2019) and they will announced in social media once the service has been restored. |

what we tried to explain is, other than credit cards, you can top up as much as you want but the max storage at any time is 10k. Once you hit 10k, you need to spend, then top up again, then spend again if it reaches 10k before you can top up again.
so you cannot go buy a car with 1 swipe. you can, however, split into multiple swipes, load 10k cash each time to earn the points and if the shop doesn't mind swiping 5-10 times for you (I'm sure they don't). This post has been edited by beLIEve: Feb 12 2019, 03:16 PM |
