i got a free dinner way back from heathrow last year, after few days shown reversed and i save around RM170
till now still showing reversed lol

i think some foreign terminal only accept local cards, when they do settlement only realized about this and unable to get back the money
for example i bought something at a mart at Manchester, after i swipe, the cashier said sorry, need to pay again by cash or local cards and ask me to keep the receipt in case unable to reverse the fund

that's nothing to do with BP, they need to upgrade their payment system to accept international cards, not limited to local

don't simply say we can reverse transaction as we like, the merchant got proof that we spend there.
just that sometime their payment system unable get money from foreign country bank, that's why reversed.
i don't think we got case locally, most of the reversed case is on foreign currency

Ask urself got use ur wife cc on ur BP and vice versa or not
Even now dont have, last time got also can be an issue
I got friends face this issue and my suggestion always use ur own cc or apply supp for them
While waiting for supp still can p2p, just explain buy something her and pay back
