Many banks in Japan don’t support foreign ATM card withdrawal. To be on the safe side, withdraw from Seven Bank ATM. Seven Bank ATM can be found inside 7-Eleven.
*
Does the Seven Bank ATM charges extra fee for withdrawal?

I understand the oversea exchange is cheap here compare to other CC but has anyone compared the exchange rate with cash exchange? If cheaper than cash from those exchange then will be very good to use overseas ....

Here's an example for Japanese Yen for today's rate.

eh, u no put usd, today counter rate, usd is lower leh..lol
*
Yes, for USD that is true.
So, depends on where you spend and that the daily rate differs against each other.

Not sure if i got it right, sometimes i feel that the money changer rate is slower to reflect the actual currency fluctuations.
Unless we spend BIG amount, otherwise it's actually not much difference.

Again, it's your duty to compare the rates and decide whether to use cash or BigPay. biggrin.gif

Guys just curious about the users here ... In average how much cards u guys use to top up Big Pay?

I'm trying to come up with my own "strategy" now ... I have about 5-6 CC that I "Planned" few years back and kept using without updating ... now only noticed alot terms changes =.= Didn't even noticed i didn't get CB for my UOB YOLO for few months already ... zz..

My monthly total CC spendings is about 4k ... Based on 1st page I think I will use the following:
1) SCB CB Master - I'm having
2) PB VS - I'm having
3) PB Quantum master - I need to apply (Seems like this card comes with the visa also? Can only apply 1?)
4) Ambank true visa - Need to apply

Anyone have similar monthly spendings like me care to share your strategy? Thanks... I think this BP will help me alot to monitor my CB since I just need do 1 transaction to confirm, then slowly spend with the BP.... Regret to find out abit this so late .. seems like BP is out more than a year already? Too bad AMEX cannot top up BP eh? Haha
*
since you already hold SCB card, my recommendation is to get Just One Platinum and it's just one phone call away.

Pre-booked meals using AA app with BigPay, does the discount come after payment as credit or it will straight away reduce RM2 at payment?

I bought 2 meals, it shows RM26 during payment, but when paid, it's RM30.

Is it through the app only? Desktop still applicable? I just bought a ticket over the last weekend and the discount is still there

The processing fee for air ticket is still waived from desktop. But the meal/luggage booking discount must be from App, which is now suspended until further notice.

BigPayJonathan

Is it possible for BigPay to limit the choice of currencies payable when used in overseas, i.e. pay in 'local' currency?

There are occasions where the cashier would just charge it in MYR instead of local currency without even asking which currency to pay from.
And the difference is HUGE!

Hi, may i know is there any issue to use bigpay for airasia?
I tried to add baggage allowance for airasia before i come back from Japan few days ago. It was supposed to charge Rm62, when i key in BigPay card number, the balance was automatically deducted Rm8 and become Rm54. So i proceed to pay with the discounted price. After the payment went through, the page pop out error showing payment failed, Rm54 did went through but there is still balance Rm8 that i need to pay. Tried again with Bigpay card, failed. End up paying the Rm8 with fpx.
*
you were not alone. there were reported similar issues like yours by others in the forum.
something is 'broken' between BP and AA billing.

Do you allow BigPay to geolocate your device?
*
i had somewhat similar experience, too.

Traveling to 2 countries. Bigpay detected both just fine and i spent in both countries respectively.
But at the end of the trip after returning to Malaysia, BP just lumped it up and say i spent a total of xxx amount in 1 country.

so it's 10,000 + 1.08% bank fee + RM10 withdrawal fee.
It is exactly per mastercard conversion rate. I would say this is good!

if only the bank fee can be avoided, it will be even better.

anyone tried b4 withdraw from maybank atm? may i know max is 1500 or 3000? any charges from maybank ?
*
withdrawal fee is RM6 per withdrawal, regardless of the amount.

whether or not it's max 1500 or 3000, that depends on the ATM you used.
What you can do is, enter the amount 3000, if the machine has a limit of 1500, it will warn you to correct the amount. Otherwise, it will go thru.

if the machine RM100 notes, you should be able to withdraw RM3000. so, go out and experiment. biggrin.gif

i thought the atm Bank will charge another fees instead of BP rm6 charges~~

read thru those previous post, abt some " abuse" case.... so now Bp got any limit on withdrawal ?
*
If you use the card like a debit card (made purchases) and ATM card, you are fine. No limit as long as you have money in there.
But if you just use it to frequent reloads and withdraws alone in huge amount, then yes, you should be careful.
