This restaurant is in Melbourne. Not sure if we can report it to CC companies.

QUOTE(PrincZe @ May 31 2019, 09:22 PM)
yes report report ! they just want cash
*
not sure whether report can be done or not, or it just wont help sweat.gif

but back many years ago, around 2000, a lot of phone seller inside Mall will charge 1-3% if you use credit card

the reason is when you buy RM1000 for your item, bank didnt pay merchant RM1000, bank only give them 9xx, there are fees deducted for transactions settlements

bank get some fees, Visa/Master get some.... few parties til merchant finally not full RM1000, all payment portal charges some extra fees, if you use lelong, Netpay charge 6%, unless merchant absorb it, just like many years ago, Petrol Station dont want to accept credit card, because consumer uses credit card, they didnt get full amount

similarly, some merchant allow the use of credit card only if above certain amount, and some restaurants quite big not even want to accept credit card giving lame excuse bank dont give them lol

but things change a lot now... if not accepting credit card will makes less business...

Used bigpay to withdraw Thai baht from Thailand.
Big pay charge RM10 Thai bank charge 260bhat (+-) currency rate at 7.1xx, which currently should be 7.50.
Read review that's use to withdraw currency oversea is good but in this case, my first try, and my last.
Probably juz use it as emergency withdrawal.
*
should be close to this calculator https://www.mastercard.co.uk/en-gb/consumer...t-currency.html
can you try? key in 0% Bank Fee

i tried for 5-June, should be around ~7.51, how come yours 7.11?

you can refer this bigpay official post https://www.bigpayme.com/post/whats-the-exc...-rate-on-bigpay

It's not that bad actually. 2.3k to BP & 200 Petrol, you will still get 60 which is 2.4%
*
yeah still a good card in fact, but RM50 cash back other card can easily achieve, RM60 max only +10 and need spend RM2500+
SC JOP is because previously RM85 attractive smile.gif

who said RM14?
it is capped at RM30/month, not 50% of the total cap of each tier
*
the example clearly show it, wonder why he said RM14 after 1500 online spend, misleading

if your TOTAL spending is only RM1500 on online, you will only get RM15 CB, not RM28.
*
bro can you read example 2 here https://av.sc.com/my/content/docs/my-revisi...credit-card.pdf
it is RM28

or this image, so difficult to understand? sweat.gif SC have stated it clearly in example 2

user posted image

you seems weird, how did you get RM15? RM1500 10% is 150 lol... but online capped is RM30, but spending RM1500 capped is RM28,
so get RM28 as show in example 2 above

oh sorry. 10% of RM1500 is RM150 which is well over the RM28 cap so will get RM28.

hahahahahaha paiseh  notworthy.gif
*
:lol no wonder you guys insist is RM14, because mistakenly thought RM1500 cb is RM15, due to RM28 capped, it become RM14 sweat.gif thats seems logically correct from your point of view...

but good news is RM1500 10% is RM150 sweat.gif it is still a good card to reload to bp with reduce cash back capped and removed AF waiver

get ambank true visa for RM30 CB for RM1000 topup
anyway i have lost RM57/month...
*
minimize the loss to RM25 lol, get RM60 max
you can still reload RM2500 to bp and pump RM200 petrol, total spent RM2700 to get RM60 cb

previously reload RM2500 already get RM85
after 1 July, you can continue RM2500 reload and pump 200 petrol... to get RM60 cb

no doubts, the benefit of SC JOP is reduced... but still can continue utilize it if you want with bp biggrin.gif

The cashier need to select and key in which bank the card is belong to
The problem is bigpay is not in the list..only banks
*
thats weird, they only need to know whether they accept Visa, Master, AMEX... all these, if they accept Visa only, then all else like Master/AMEX... cannot use lol
why need to know which bank sweat.gif

Still not quite understand how BigPay is related to BT  sweat.gif
*
what he meant could be
cardA balance due RM2000
use cardB to reload to bp RM2000 (this will have another days to pay before due), take out and pay cardA laugh.gif

something like BT maybe biggrin.gif instead of BT from A to B... (with charges)

reload to youself confirm no issue, then transfer from your bp to others lol, i dont see reason using your card reload for others... since you can transfer through bp to others

seems someone reported reload for others is not okay

If BigPay cancel cc topup,  then is only good for overseas usage. Other than that pretty useless unless their overseas remittance rate is money changer rate or better.

i thought they want to challenge the bank laugh.gif if they remove this and that... might as well close down sweat.gif
