same case here, but recent refund seems better without deducting wallet balance, only the crossed out that actual refund transaction.

I think I've had enough with BigPay. I had double payment issue before and took weeks for me to get the money back.

Today I bought concert tickets, all payments are made and somehow I don't get any confirmation from the merchant. Merchant said payment is not successful but BigPay already deducted my money. Contacted the chat support right away and support insist that the payment is made. I spend whole day trying to fix this.

Merchant said no payment from BigPay and Bigpay said payment already made.

All I wanna do is to cancel the transaction so I can just buy another ticket, but BigPay said it's not possible. So who's getting my money now?

The exchange rate is somewhat good but I don't think they are that reliable to handle your money. Just be careful when you place your money there. They can just take it and said nothing is their fault.

Once I get my refund, I'll cancel this stupid card.

Even credit card might happen too. U just have to wait after a week, if merchant didn't claim your money, it will reverse back into your card.

usually the money is holding at the gateway if transaction unsuccessful, just wait for at least 7 days if the money is not claim by ur merchant, it will reverse back to u, no worry.

Exactly! Even credit card will have the same issue sometimes if you are unlucky. Not only this BP. We all have to take some risk on using such cards.... sweat.gif

But I do think banks have a better customer service. It has been horrible for me. I've been connected to at least 6 supports and none can give me a definitive answer. There's also no way for me to call them. I've emailed them too and no reply.

Being a debit card, they need to act quickly.

I never have issue with credit card before for as long as I can remember. Already had couple of issues with BigPay in just few months gap.

When it's good, it's good but it can be real shit when it is not working.

All I need is to cancel it, or BigPay can confirm they can refund back the money so I can confidently buy back the tickets. It's for a concert, so time is the essence.

I suggest to use credit card for high amount. Bigpay is a prepaid card not debit card. Please don't expect they have the same service and features as bank. They are not bank. They didn't said wrong about your transaction is successful. Because their system appeared so. They really can't do anything. If they refund u on the spot, after merchant claim the cash who are gonna paid? This is merchant side issue, if merchant confirm transaction failed, they are most likely won't claim the cash And the cash will reverse back to your card after 7 days. This is set by system, no one can do about that.

If merchant claim that money, u only can dispute to merchant and show your statement your ticket was paid and they either give u ticket or proceed for refund.

Card issuer also need to protect themselves. If we buy anything with credit card or whatever, then we dispute we didn't buy want to claim back our money, the company have to bear the cost. We only can claim back money with card issuer for report card loss. Else refer back to merchant after 7 days if they claim your money.

I met this case with cc before. The solution is I make another purchase, the pending authorise transaction reversed back into my card after 7 days. This is my experienced.

And no bank will refund you immediately no matter what bank. You can only wait for the merchant to tally up the claim and Malaysia financial institutions has been fast already considering only needed 7 days for funds refund etc.

If overseas, they take up to 45 days.

And they don’t need phone so won’t be abused 😂

Bet you would have abused those customer service agent over phone.

If u disagree then proceed for dispute of the transaction if the next best option u have.

Maybank did refund me in matter of hours. Technically it's not refund, but the transaction is cancelled. All I need is someone to confirm that it can be cancelled.

The case with BigPay, the support has no answer. Until 6pm then only I managed to ask for manager via the chat support. BigPay need hotline, not just chat support.

just make another purchase since it's time critical transaction. if it is not reserved after 7 days only u file a dispute with BigPay.
even credit card will have the same problem, experience before shopee refund takes 14 working days whereby the month have a lot holidays, end up refund only successful in one calendar month, between the period contacted merchant and bank multiple times but nothing much they can do instead of wait since the time frame is not passed yet. imagine the refund was only successful one day before statement due date, if it refunded after the due date i would have to raise another appeal on interest, late payment, etc...

I did with normal CC.

I've been using BigPay extensively abroad and like it. Plus it has a nice color. But they just lost one customer today.

I don't think I'll abused it if they have the hotline. Or maybe they need a competent support. Like I said, it took 12 hours so that someone can call me. Plus, every time the chat support get disconnected I have to tell the whole story all over again and again, and again. Such a stupid method. Nobody seems to read the history or they just don't even have it.

BP having the best cs support among all others e wallet. U should try boost and see what happen, u never get any feedback at all is very common over there. If u can't tolerate their service, u may option for cc instead.🤗
