Yes, instant cooling effect. Comes with 7 pcs. able to fold.

Being told that our CX5 rear window is made curved. So it have 2 clips to hold the rear shade.

One thing i dont like is the front passenger and driver side shades.
They cut the shade into weird shape, so that we can look at our side mirror.

Hi Bro, i bought the samurai shades, no such issue on "CX5 rear window is made curved, So it have 2 clips to hold the rear shade", no clips, 100% magnet with no issue to attach to the car  biggrin.gif

just cost me RM99 for 6 pieces, worth the price  smile.gif

the opening for the front windows is good, so that we can look at our side mirror (especially during night), and we can stretch out our hand without removing the shade (example TnGo, etc)
*
Samurai shades is like he copy cat version of ninja shades but much cheaper hahaha. Not sure how good if we were to compete both. So far I don't need shades yet but might consider hahaha.

Just did 2nd service at Old Klang Road. Free Nasi lemak and car wash, although the car wash is really poorly done. Can still see dirt stains...oh well at least free.

Also paid deposit for CarPlay, and found out if you join the Mazda Privilege Membership for RM100 you can get 15% off the CarPlay & Labour cost.

Can pinjam membership? Hahahaha

Ya, I drive these 2 day, when corner slightly faster, can feel not so stable compare to previously high pressure.
I will increase to 230kPa try again few days later.
Better go rotate. Last time my company car forget to rotate, front tyre thread gone, back 2 still have thread, end up change 2 tyre only.
No free alignment, balancing for 2 tyre.
*
Yea will go and do rotation and alignment soon.

Well Sompo insurance is the one offering that coverage, so if you go to any agent or direct with Sompo you probably can include that in. But you don't need that clause since new cars do not have betterment in the first 5 years.

Mine is V-Kool, so the RM3k is for that.
*
Does that mean I can renew my insurance online for 5 years and then switch back to dealer/bermaz? Can enjoy 10% discount for 5 years first.

You can. Not sure how online works if you have the option to choose all the extra coverage as well.
*
QUOTE(kennysik88 @ May 16 2019, 12:57 PM)
Means we can change to other insurance firm for first 5yrs and then return to sompo for the betterment even we didn't continue with them in the middle? Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
Other insurance firm not sure.

If it's same insurance firm but you renew the first 5 years online (for the 10% rebate) and then after that continue back with dealer (without 10% rebate), then probably can get the same 10 years betterment clause? hmm.gif

During my 40k major servicing, the SC also checked the thickness of the brakepads.
After 40k of driving, all brakepads still have about 8mm thickness or so, with minimum thickness is 2mm.

I've decided to KIV the speaker upgrades first as yesterday I went to Jack's place to do body soundproofing for the roof, 4 doors and bonnet.
When driving back, the missus noticed that the sound from the stock speakers improved a lot, as the soundstaging is much better with the sound now seems to be coming from the center of the front windscreen, clearer stereo separation and the bass has more solid thump. All this is without playing with the bass and treble adjustment.
The only complaint is that the high is not as crisp to my liking and had to increase 2 notch on the treble equaliser.
*
How much did you do the sound proofing?

Probably Michelin Primacy SUV? About 400-500+ per tyre depending where you get it.

Rm1.4k for all 3.
If separately, Rm600 for 4 doors, Rm600 for roof and Rm480 for bonnet.

How was it? Do you notice a big improvement over previous?

Just changed my tyre recently. Went to do tyre rotation, balancing and alignment after 22k mileage but too late. The inner side of both front tyre looks a bit botak already. In fact when I drive during heavy rain I feel a bit slippery as well. So no choice but to change it.

The shop only have Toyo Open Country for my size and the price is 350 per tyre. Seems reasonable. Performance and noise so far so good.

Haha our car now as tall as hilux no need those big and expensive side steps, for cosmetic purpose get Taiwan HUA type or OEM type enough for me.
*
Hahaha personally it doesn't serve much purpose for me cause I am a tall guy but it looks impressive laugh.gif Macam Range Rover punya side step.

Btw bro, your rear spoiler includes installation? I know it's very easy but I still prefer some professional to install for me hahaha

Sigh, my left side mirror is having problem retracting properly. It only managed to retract 70%. Need to go SC to check. Suspect motor or gear problem.

After tyre, now side mirrors. Such luck.

Hi. Have a question for 2.0 GLS owners. Is the car power and acceleration pickup enough for normal city drive and occasional travel to states down south? Planning to change from a 1.5 vtec car. Thanks!
*
QUOTE(#ZoomZoom @ Jun 7 2019, 11:30 AM)
Yes enough even with full 5 people including driver,  the car still can pull.
Normal low compression ratio NA car for example honda city 1.5 can output maximum torque of 145 Nm @4600 rpm,  myvi 1.5 can only output torque of 136 Nm @4200 rpm and even 2.5 latest malaysia camry only output 235 Nm @4100 rpm.
BUT mazda high compression ratio skyactiv 2.0 can output 210 Nm torque @ 4000 rpm.
So we are actually driving a skyactiv 2.0L car with torque of 2.1L or 2.2L cars.
Matching with the love-to-rev engine and the smart gearbox, it is enough/easier to pull the car compared to other brands (comparing NA engines only).
*
Totally enough. I drive 95% in the city and 5% out of states. Unless you are heavy footer who likes to accelerates fast or driving in high speed on highways then 2.2D is for you.

That said though, RON 97 gives a much better acceleration, pick up and driving experience compared to RON 95 - at least that's how it feels for me. But sadly RON 97 is so much pricey nowadays so I rotate between RON 95 and 97 sweat.gif

I joined all FB Mazda CX-5 Club Malaysia, Honda CRV G5 Club Malaysia and Proton X70 Community Malaysia (X70CM).
Can know pros and cons of all of them  brows.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxm9.gif

What's your personal opinion on all 3 of them? If you have the option to get only 1, which would you choose from the 3? It'll be useful also if you can put down the pros and cons of each laugh.gif
