haha. I bought CX5 last year before GST.
If I am millionaire I want to buy all 3 of them.
But if must choose 1, I still will choose 2nd gen CX5.
Skyactiv-G engine & its gearbox 6speed stepped AT skyactiv-drive is more than 5 years and has been trial and tested since 1st gen CX5 2011/2012. At least > 5 years la.
If CRV is offered with a stepped AT gearbox, then I choose CRV. Too bad a CVT (hardly reliable except honda cvt is reliable as toyota cvt. Just wait and see.
Too many to write all pros and cons for every car.
From media info, new toyota plant at Bukit Raja, Klang might produce new Rav4 in 2019/2020. The King of reliability is back. Those want to buy C-segment car can wait till Dec 2019 only then to decide again. Plentiful choices.
For me X70, I love the side profile and rear but the front end is so outdated. Interior is too much with the silver-painted dashboard. The current 6-speed AT from DSI (Australia manufacturer bought over by Geely) is not smart and not popular.
Why geely wants to sign agreement with Aisin to supply them 6-speed AT in future if DSI gearbox is so good?
And CKD X70 will be launched this year with NEW majority 3-cylinder 1.5 TGDI & 7 speed DCT and minority current 1.8 TGDI & 6-speed DSI AT.
So in short, they gradually might phase out 1.8 TGDI & 6-speed DSI AT sooner or later. So those already bought current X70 will be difficult to look for spare parts if engine and gearbox components fail.
Those want to save money can wait for B-segment Proton X50 (Geely Binyue) equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5 TGDI & 7 speed DCT. To be launched end of this year.
It could cost 70-90 k only. The dashboard cockpit is damn futuristic and stylish, to me better looking than that of CX5. Rear passenger leg room is more spacious than C-segment cx5.

But many Chinese reviewers pointed out that the 3-cylinder 1.5 TGDI vibration can intrude into the cabin. It could be less vibrating than 3-cylinder viva but although how good is their tuning, physics is still physics. It confirms will vibrate more than regular 4 cylinders (port injection or direct injection). Sooner or later mountings wear and tear faster. Just like the inferior preve 1.6 turbo cfe (although 4 cylinders), all mounting 'kong' so fast because the engine vibrating too much.
Smoothness : In-line 6 cylinders are better than in-line 4 cylinders and in-line 4 cylinders are confirmed better than in-line 3 cylinders.
For me I don't have confidence & it is risky to buy china car. I worry I will be a guinea pig. Need wait for at least 5-10 years to hear mechanics and owners feedbacks only then can consider lah.
Who know the 49.9 & 50.1 % partnership might break up in few years later then how to find spare parts in future!!!
1.8 TGDI, 1.5 TGDI, DSI 6 speed AT, 7speed DCT has been proven of reliability? Until now, all of them still being used in their first generation cars (trial and error) which are < 5 years.
And finally brand image. If u drive T, H and mazda = more affluent and people think u have made it in your life (successful).
If you drive Pro_ _ _ = not rich and u haven't made it in your life (less successful).
Pay extra 10-30k to feel the charisma is worth it

Cx5 engine so vibrates a lot too. Recently one of my engine mounting has deteriorated so they changed for me for free since under warranty but I wonder how long it'll last before I'll need to change again.
