I will not buy from them..
True, and why we need brembo brake pads for a family suv?

Unless you lyc1982, tuned your car to 300hp.  brows.gif

I think that's the normal Brembo brake pads no? Not those big brake kits brake pads and discs.

Brembo brake pads are just brake pads, like OEM or 3-rd party brake pads.
But if Brembo brake kits (with slotted rotor, pads, calipher, hose, etc) which cost 5-figures, then it's a different story  biggrin.gif
*
QUOTE(nebula87 @ Feb 1 2019, 09:58 AM)
Not sure. but I think I saw FB club post before, normal Brembo brake pads are bigger than our stock brake pads.

Btw, I think installing aftermarket brake pads, engine strut bar, and other mods will affects the GVC performance.. sad.gif
*
Like widget said, those are Brembo big brake kits which comes with bigger pads, disc rotor and caliper. The one in the Lazada link seems to be normal brake pads.

Do you really need those additional mods? I think our car's handling is pretty great already hmm.gif

I've no comment or idea on how those mods will affect the GVC but I think sifu like skeith can answer you more.

Hahaha don't remember already. But anyway, wouldn't buy from the link since no rating and comments. Perhaps ask in the FB group to get some recommendation.

Hi!! not sure if anyone asked this before, i am looking at installation of the auto tailgate as last year's car didn't comes with it unlike the current new car

Official Mazda / Bermaz also do not have such service in installing the auto tailgate.

Was told by one SA that he has such contact and it is a plug and play type, and it costs RM 3k.  sweat.gif

Anyone did this before? and at cheaper price? 3k is too steep
*
There are many shops outside doing auto tailgate installation. Price varies from 2k to 3k. I personally didn't do the installation.

Yea but service advisor reassured me they had checked everything and they are working fine, even the gearbox they also said it is working fine, no problems detected with their tools, and the sound is just normal sound n characteristic of gearbox, i was like WTF are you saying, you don't taichi me. God knows whether there will be other consequences.
Yea thanks for your comfort bro, i'm trying so hard to get Mazda to reply me regarding this issue and should they decide that i'm on my own then i will definitely request for some black and white to assure me and my family safety by sitting in this car.
2.0 CKD mid 2015.

I always sent my car for service at Bermaz PJ SC, i don't think they have ever replace the ATF. If follow the service schedule i think somebody here said Mazda will only change for us at 100k mileage.

If changing ATF can solve this issue i would be more than willing to, but now the problem is they said nothing wrong with my gearbox and only sound.
*
Have you check with the Mazda HQ at Glenmarie? I found them to be quite reactive.

QUOTE(yeexian @ Feb 21 2019, 07:58 PM)
Hi for the auto boot, why cant i open the boot by press+hold the button inside the car? My gear is at P, handbrake on... i need to unlock the car lock only i can use the button to open the boot. Is it normal?
*
I don't have the power boot but I logically thinks that should be how it works. Imagine if your car is running and locked but somebody outside tried to open your power boot. So for safety purposes, if the car door is locked, the power boot is locked as well.

But if pressing the button inside...it should be detected as safe..hmm...

Hmm..have been hearing this high frequency pitching sound whenever I used the Auto Hold function. Saw in Facebook group some other people are facing this problem as well.

I think it's particular to 2.0 GLS model only. Any other 2.0 GLS owners can verify this?

If it’s my money, I’d go for well known brand like V-kool, 3M, Llumar, Huper-Optic, etc

Hi sifus.

May I know where can I go to touch up my SRC? I got careless this morning while parking, ended up hitting a yellow pillar. Now got small dent and a couple of yellow scratches (about 5-10cm long) on the front right area of the car.

Any shop recommendation is welcomed. Thanks in advance!
*
I was bang from behind last year and the guy who bang me brought me to this shop in Serdang. They did quite a good job. Repair dent and repaint cost about 400 only. Repaint cost about 300. Looks exactly as new after repaint and I was surprised too considering Soul Red is a tricky color paint.

I can intro to you if you want.

My car already got scratches here and there. Not to mention those stone chips. Can't care too much else too sad to enjoy the ride. Just enjoy as it goes and then repaint few years later.

Other than official AA and android interface, there's actually another alternative which is AIO. It's cheaper but I can't vouched how good is that.

Apple CarPlay/AA - RM1k (outside) / RM1.4k (Bermaz)
Android Auto - RM400/500 (Sidek Salleh or others)

Ya man. By comparison AIO is very much cheaper. But then I'm not sure if it'll throw out any error like Android interface hahaha. Itu kena wait sifu Keith explain.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Mar 15 2019, 09:07 PM)
AIO is cheaper but it's mainly AA & CP.. Then a bunch of tweaks from the AIO package.. Which if installed, I believe has to keep using the compatible firmware and who knows what will happen when an unsuspecting SC tech guy flashes a firmware upgrade over it. best case, it's overwritten and HU returns to stock.. Worst case, conflicting code and bricks the HU.. Most likely try to blame it on the customer. AIO doesn't come with the faster charging ports though.
Your phone no Bluetooth? I just use that.. Bluetooth and USB drive.. But yeah, to be safe, have to wait for 5 years..
*
It's 1/3 of the official AA and 1/5 of Android interface or if you do it yourself it's FOC. Given the price, I must say it serves its purpose well. Few more things to note is that SC would not update the firmware unless you asked them to. Secondly, the AIO should support the latest firmware as well - albeit a bit of bug here and there but should be ironed out quickly. Thirdly, since AIO is from the software side, any future firmware upgrade (which should not happen in the first place) should be able to support AIO as well. Just like how Android OS upgrade on your phone.

QUOTE(skeith @ Mar 15 2019, 11:54 PM)
AIO?

Its pretty much a root or jailbroken way to access the head unit core system and allow the users to install homebrew software.

Since the softwares are pretty much homebrew, means it can be pretty buggy. Like Android Auto in AIO. Its good to have, its cheap, but laggy n can be quite buggy, in a acceptable level.

However, the AIO potential can be tremendous! Since the system can be straight access to the main system, the programmer shows almost everything inside the MZD, from Tyre pressure to fuel actual capacity, from RPM to speeds, you name it they got it!

But 1st, you need to be pro in linux programming.
*
Ya man, I was reading this fella trying to read the TPMS data and send it to the MZD in the forum. I also agreed that it can be laggy and buggy but it's still in an acceptable level.

QUOTE(de_sengal @ Mar 16 2019, 07:45 AM)
I have been using AIO on my mazda 3 for almost 3 years. Yes, sometimes it can be laggy and hang where you need to unplug and plug back the usb but since it is free, i can live with it. Enough for me to use waze and spotify and also checking the battery power level. And also using the video player for my kid.
At first, before sending to SC i will revert back to mzd but after a while getting lazy with it.
*
Ya man it's pretty good but if you do not know how to enable serial hack for later firmware then it's 1 step more to do AIO sweat.gif

Sorry.. but you are wrong to assume that the AIO tweaks is as versatile and or comparable to how Android OS or FWs work on mobile phones. Try claiming a modern day Samsung KNOX equipped device 's warranty .. having tripped the KNOX counter and didn't reverse before returning it.. See how that goes.  smile.gif Even the original AIO tweaks dev and maintainer has cautioned against specific Mazda FW versions. With some versions capable of instantly bricking your HU. Which is indicative of one trying to tinker. Don't be fooled that a capable Mazda tech isn't able to read between the lines and figure out that one was going against warranty rules and bricked the HU in the process. Just because they look the other way and help reset, doesn't mean that they didn't know and or won't act against the tinkerer should they decide to.. Personally, AIO is great and all, but at this time, it's simply too much of a risk for me to take, especially given the potential engine issue that has plagued Taiwan & Thai owners. I would not advise any 2.2D owners to risk their warranties over something that can be easily solved (at least temp) via a car mount and a cheap mobile phone/tablet. Should something as critical as an engine blow-up happen within your warranty period and Mazda decides then to cash in on the warranty clause and refuse? Kiss tens of thousands goodbye. My 2 sen.
*
No problem as each is on his own preference. Just suggesting an alternative since android interface is not perfect as well.

Btw, how much damage you incurred to add all those safety features as well?

Can Danny install AA too?

In fact our sifu here skeith did the same. He changed to the colored display for his 2.0 GLS. I knew another person who did the same for his gen 1 CX5 as well. It's not easy sourcing for the instrument cluster and it's not cheap as well.
