For SCBS-R, they can find out also, when reversing, then one of the foreman walk behind it, then it trigger the alarm... sad.gif

And what is "Find my car"?
*
Press key on your remote and ur car will sound horn so you can find your car. Useful if you can't find where you park in big malls.

Cannot promise warranty. But can promise no error code can be found even with original mazda system.

Anyway, if u scared warranty, then u can go for

SCBS-R, Find my car

This 2 conlan9firm safe. Because no trace to trace 1 this 2 unless u triggered the function infront of them purposely.
*
Eh even with backup file to reverse back the changes also can be traced in logs?

for 2.2D default is fully, which spec and brand that they given? thank you.
*
For petrol variant they are giving 5w30 semi synthetic shell helix. If you top up its should be shell helix ultra 5w40 if I'm not mistaken.

if based on spec, 5w30 is better than 5w40, am i right? any idea what else they going to do during the 1st 1k service? thank you
*
Can't say if it's better or worst but 40 is thicker. I wish they have full synthetic 5w30 but they don't.

1k service they just change engine oil and deposit oil cleaner I think. You can also highlight to them if you have any problem.

how much need to top up for fully? thank you
*
100+ if not mistaken.

QUOTE(nebula87 @ Mar 20 2019, 10:48 AM)
So for you, you opt for semi or fully?  hmm.gif
*

Opt for semi previously but ended up have to change again cause I don't think it'll last for 10k mileage. I changed when it's 6k mileage.

Next service I'm gonna opt for full synthetic.

Never appreciate SCBS until today. The car in front suddenly brake and I didn't notice but the beeping and auto brake comes in along with ABS. That really saved my ass. But also I wasn't driving very fast, about 60.

Huh? I thought our scbs only work when speed lower than 31 km/h....Mazda website also stated 4-30km/h...
*
QUOTE(skeith @ Mar 22 2019, 06:07 PM)
Can go until 80Km/h actually.

Mazda Malaysia misquoted. 4-30kmh was facelifts
*
Ya I actually felt the car braking for after I released my leg. And the ABS I assumed is kicking in cause I heard a lot of metal braking sound.

I pump 97 most of the time cause it gives better pickup power. I'm a heavy footer and travel a lot daily so my RPM gets high as well. Averagely about 10 to 11km per liter. 90% City and 10% highway.

so fast change ATF oil? What's the recommended KM for ATF change? Don't see it in the service manual.

100k km but I might change it around 40k or 60k km hmm.gif Just have to change it outside SC else it voids warranty.

Bro skeith, i am interested in the icam x9 that i often see from JL but will it coz problems - warranty wise?
How about those pedal locks like locktech? I heard they tap into the ignition system to disable engine start when locked. Will this also cause error logs in the ECU?
*
You can install the pedal locks but without connecting the ignition system.

In that case, better get those that dont tap to the ignition system..
Thanks bro duckies..

Well the pedal lock should work even without tapping into the ignition system. If you can't step on the brake then you can't start the car.

Can they actually tell the difference?
Besides the oil been cleaner. :brows:

I think there's a nut below when you change the ATF oil. If do suck and refill then should be fine. If you screw off the nut below then they'll know. Correct me if I am mistaken.

I think u can actually buy the nut or the ring online. Question is, is it the same? Ask them for free samples when servicing lol or at least have a look/take photo on the next visit. laugh.gif

Btw how much if servicing in SC? ATF & EO change. If drop pan, how much more?
*
Don't know but they'll ask you to sign waiver if you change ATF oil before 100k km mileage.

Waiver? Meaning, they will not be responsible, for breakage?
How does better maintenance in SC degrade a car?
*
If you change ur ATF oil before the mileage, gearbox warranty will be void.

For those who are not familiar with ATF, under normal circumstances you do not need to change ATF. Read that for Mazda their ATF can last even longer than normal due to their Skyactiv technology.

So do not worry so much about changing ATF. Just let SC do their part during warranty unless you really know what you are doing.
*
Complicated matters. Some claims it can last 100k km mileage. Some claims it doesn't. Don't know if we should change it or not hmm.gif

May I know why istop is a pain cz I noticed many dislike this feature.

Then vibration when it starts and stops is annoying. And often it stops at the wrong time, like crossing a intersection. You'll need to control ur foot power to not trigger it.

Try this. Our ori battery is not dry-cell.

Go battery shop n add water, your battery can spare for few more mths.

Its proven, but not widely spread, only spread among the shark cx-5 group.
*
Ya man I also didn't know our battery type is not dry type until I went service and they charge me for battery water then only I knew.

You mean maintenance free battery. Not many cars on the road in Malaysia come with dry cell battery. Most of them are sealed wet MF batteries. Mazda cheapskate force us to use non MF batteries.
*
Oh I see. Cause so far my old Myvi battery are those maintenance free. So it's been a while I need to top up water to the battery. Imagine my surprise when the SC charged me for the battery water. Not surprised because of the price but surprised cause it needs battery water hahaha

My salesperson told me that Bermaz MAY offer current 2nd gen CX-5 owners to have the option of retrofitting 360° camera in the future. Nothing is confirm yet...
*
Not gonna be cheap I think. AA/CP is over 1k. Power boot also over 3k. I think 360 camera gonna be between 2 to 3k as well.
