*Subject to terms & conditions.

This is what I got from Mazda SA... also no need for named driver and RM10k coverage for special perils (like flooding)
*
Last year B-S insurance still need to provide drivers' name, but this year already changed to all authorised drivers, so no need to pay RM10/driver for 3rd names onwards.
But the RM10k coverage for special perils are not captured in the insurance policy, so not sure how true it is

You mean the normal B-S (non-Mazda) policy doesn't have the special perils coverage?
Have to check with the B-S directly...
*
B-S (Mazda) purchased from Bermaz (not direct from B-S or online).
It the policy, doesn't mention special perils coverage

Check the cover type, if its Sompo Motor, special perils is included (RM10,000)
*
I see. Thanks for the explanation.
Just that the special perils clause is not stated anywhere in the policy but only mentioned in their website and in the Product Disclosure Sheet which need to be downloaded from their website

Is there a difference battery for Turbo and non turbo car?
*
For 2.2 turbo diesel, the battery is T110 battery
For petrol 2.0 and 2.5 non-turbo, the battery is Q85
No idea if the the new 2.5T uses the same battery as the petrol version

Just serviced for 40k km (1 year 5 month), the SC show me my battery health left 10%.
At the end change with them cause the battery come with 2 year or 40k km warranty.
2.2D

Drive almost everyday for long distance, battery also cant last long. Nowadays the battery quality lousy compare to last time. Or maybe mazda malaysia use lousy battery.
*
Almost the same mileage and age as my 2.2D when I changed the stock wet-battery last year to Delkor T110
Do they offer 50% off the price of battery for 2.2D too?

Just want to confirm only as I was told that the 50% discount is only for petrol version.
Seems like they "anak tiri" us the 2.2D users

just got my Cx5 recently, tried to install RFID on but but after testing, the guy said the car headlamp is small, not suitable, and my windscreen is tinted with vkool elite, got interference with the RFID, hence not able to install RFID into my car.

Any one able to install RFID into the latest batch of Cx5 ?
*
It’s not the best place, but no other option if you want to install RFID.
I have RFID installed on the left headlamp since Oct 2018, during the 1st pilot phase.
On some dedicated RFID tolls like Latar really smooth sailing, on DUKE have to slow down to 15-20 km/h, while on Karak, have to drive and stop all the way until the barrier.
They cannot installed on my windscreen as my Hamel tint interfere with the RFID.

Guys
Anyone know where can find the user guide to use the navigation?
Not found in the owner's manual.
Wanted to know to save locations into favourites etc
*
IIRC, there are 2 hardcopy user manuals when you collected the car.
The navigation system manual should be the thinner user manual.

also a quick question. DRL light only will light up when in gear D?

Only when the car is moving.
Even if put in gear D but hit the brake and car is stationary, won't light up

so after the car has moved and in P gear, DRL will off too?

Yes,
DRL will off when put in P gear.
Good when you're waiting in the car at night with the engine is running, when you don't want people to notice you

Yea, stopping short of the 2.2D and the Turbo which are the flagship models - wife isn't keen on the diesel...  sweat.gif

I see, seems equipment wise is the same for the 2.0 H and 2.5 H... Yea, the 19" tyres... Hahaha looks nice and price also 'nice' when it comes to replacing them...

Need to convince her to think about it again cos I did mention she doesn't need that much power in the daily commute to work and back and asides from the occasional outstation drive via highway, the 2.0 ought to be just nice; after factoring in the costs like fuel/tyre replacements/etc.

Thanks for the feedback bro.

Hopefully able to join the CX5 gang soon - although not my own ride. laugh.gif
*
I'm not trying to look down on 2.5H, but to me it's neither here nor there.
It has the same equipment list as 2.0H, other than the 2.5l engine and 19" wheel.
When comes to replace the tyres, the 19" can be had for Rm4xx/piece for Korean brand or Rm3xx for Indonesian, Thai or China-brand.

If most of the drive is city drive, the 2.0H should suffice.
If mostly interstate highway drive, should consider the 2.5T for speed and power or the 2.2D for the good fuel consumption if driving within the speed limit.

Any cx-5 2.2D owner here? So far any issue with this engine and what's the headache?
*
I've been driving 2.2D Fwd since Feb 2018 and already clocked 70k km.

The main issue of this engine is the so-called "blow-up" gasket, which requires engine replacement
In our 2.2D whatsapp group, it was mentioned that so far there are about 8 to 9 reported cases in Malaysia, with about 5 members in the group facing the issue.
So far, Bermaz have replaced the engines on goodwill basis, even to 1 member who had his engine blown on 110-120k km (after the 100k warranty).

Another issue is, for the older 2.2D engine, i.e. the 420Nm instead of the newer 450Nm, Bermaz have a recalled exercise where they updated the firmware, which basically detune the torque curve. So many users notice that the full torque only comes after 2000 rpm, when previously the max torque arrives after 1700 rpm.

I see
Btw, is it true Mazda Cruise Control not available for msia CX5?
Sales guy said only for mazda3 and cx30
*
Our CX-5 is only comes with 'basic' cruise control.
The Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) is not available for local CX-5, but some members have successfully installed MRCC on their CX-5 at their own costs of about RM4-5k or so.
Only consider the MRCC installation part if you don't worry on the warranty status

anyone using pedal lock?
any recommendation?
*
Go for Locktech as the secondary lock is on the right hand side.
Easier to unlock for right-handed unless you're a left-handed
Some pedal locks have the secondary lock on the left hand side, which is not that convenient for right-handed

QUOTE(hyperx @ Jun 24 2020, 07:17 PM)
Hi, for those who are using diesel.

May i know do you guys experience these where when you are driving;

- suddenly the i-stop indicator on the meter turned off
- i-stop at the MZD (under the fuel monitor) become not ready (the engine icon not glowing- indicate that the engine is not ready, while battery and aircon are ready)
- whenever you stepped on the gas pedal, your KM/L meter dropped so much as compare to usual. Under the fuel economy you can see drastic drop of the fuel consumption during this period.
- Sometimes there is a smoke coming out from the exhaust and the fumes smell bad.

These may happened for a few minutes before it becomes “normal” again.
*
For 1 and 2, no idea as I always turn off i-Stop
For 3, maybe due to DPF regen
For 4, diesel fumes smell very noticeable during cold start in the morning

Thanks for confirming.

Will scout for the modules then.  thumbsup.gif

As what @Duckies said above.
Many accessory shops offering this module for Rm150-250 or so, inclusive installation
