QUOTE(Axell @ Mar 18 2021, 10:51 PM) For diesel variant, around 10km ~ 11km per liter for city drive. On long distance, it might go up to 15km ~ 20km per liter. It all depends on your driving dicipline. Must be cruising at 150km/h and above if getting 11km/L My recent JB - KL trip is 11km per liter. š For me to achieve 15-20km/L on my 2.2D, I have to cruise at 80-90 km/h melkishi81 and Axell liked this post

QUOTE(synchun90 @ Mar 19 2021, 11:15 PM) Collected my 2.0 high within 4 days from booking fee payment date. What should I do now with the car? Coating? PPF? What's necessary but please no budget overkill haha. If my money, PPF the front bumper and hood and change the tint for front windscreen. Is there anyway to enable the auto folding side mirrors when locked? The Skytint 85% VLT is cra*p. Reputable tint brand like 3M, Llumar, Huper Optik, etc will cost you about Rm700 to 1k for front windscreen only, while VKool Elite 70 will cost you about RM1.2k or RM1.5k for VKool 55, 40, 30 etc For auto folding side mirrors when locked, you have to go to accessory shop to install 3rd-party module, which should cost about Rm150 or so. Any higher than Rm150, the shop is trying to milk you But by installing this module, when you face with the dreaded side mirror won't fold, the SC can refuse to honour this warranty as you already installed 3rd-party accessory. So install this at your own peril. This post has been edited by widget: Mar 20 2021, 09:08 AM melkishi81 and Axell liked this post

QUOTE(MANU4LIFE @ Mar 20 2021, 11:29 AM) I have not change the Skytint for now...plan to just use portable sunscreen for now lol The side and rear Skytint are OK and can just add magnetic sunshade, but the windscreen tinti is just a POS considering we were āforcedā to pay Rm2k by Bermaz.Feel like tearing up the Skytint after we paid 2k for it is a bit of a waste And when driving, canāt use portable sunscreen for the front windscreen Axell liked this post

QUOTE(MANU4LIFE @ Mar 20 2021, 11:28 PM) For front windscreen, to be on the safe side, stick to well known brands like VKool, 3M, Llumar, HuperOptik, etc.Iām not saying local brands are no good, just that with well known brands, you know that if anything happened down the road and you need to claim warranty, they are most probably still there to honour it. Price wise, for 3M, Llumar, HO, etc, just for front winscreen only will set you back from Rm700-1k. VKool is the most expensive brand as VKool Eite 70 cost about Rm1.2k, and if you opt for darker tint like VKool 55, 40, 30 have to add another Rm250 from the Elite price. As some already mentioned above, some of these tints are not SmartTag-friendly, especially those with IRR above 95%, but their heat rejection are top notch. |

QUOTE(durrrr @ Apr 4 2021, 10:57 PM) ...... Nope.I noticed a few complains here regarding the tint. I wonder if it is possible to exclude the tint since it is mentioned optional RM2000 in the price list? The Rm2k is "compulsory", even though it is stated as optional. It's been like that since 2017 when Bermaz launched the KF model. Whether you like it or not, you have to pay Rm2k for the tint. The front windscreen tint with 85% VLT and only 35% TSER is the main culprit. Replaced this windscreen tint first with better quality tint after you collected the car. The side safety tint and rear tint are still OK, and you can just buy magnetic sunshade if you find the side tint are not dark enough. This post has been edited by widget: Apr 5 2021, 10:13 AM |

There is an OBD dongle to disable Mazda's i-Stop selling at Shoppe for around Rm60. Just plug the dongle into the car OBD port and everytime start the car, the i-Stop is automatically disable. I've never tried it as already become a habit to switch off the i-Stop and enable Auto Hold everytime I start the car melkishi81 liked this post

I've been using PIAA Si-Tech Silicone Wiper on my 2.2D for more than 2 years already.
So far no complaint and happy with it. Bought it for exactly Rm200 in early 2019 from Jack Lieu's shop |

QUOTE(Biturbo @ Jun 13 2021, 01:26 PM) Another handy tool to consider is the portable tire inflator. I have one for few years now and it had saved me from a few screw punctures/ air leaks at the most inconvenient of time or places, unless if you are running on RFTs. Anyone keep a portable tire inflator in the car? Mine came with free portable tyre inflator when I bought my 2.2D in Feb 2018 from Bermaz Glenmarie.Have not try using it yet, so no idea how good is the freebie ktek liked this post

QUOTE(Biturbo @ Jun 14 2021, 11:11 PM) A very good freebie & keep it in the car. Give a try. Touch wood, if there's a puncture & no assistance in sight, you will know how to operate it. If have a bicycle, deflate it and practice one time. You will be surprised such a small gadget can pump any car tire within minutes!Ā I keep it inside the boot, at the spare tyre space since I collected the car I have 70mai TPMS installed, so still had no chance to use the free tyre inflator So far only encountered 1 tyre puncture during my 3-year plus ownership of the 2.2D Luckily it was detected by the TPMS and the puncture was not severe that I can still drive to tyre shop and had it fixed |

QUOTE(Biturbo @ Jun 15 2021, 10:15 AM) Your diesel came with the new meter cluster and increased hp & nm output? SA told me 2.2D received some upgrades in this area, of course I think bermaz also adjusted the selling price Mine is the earlier KF, without powerboot too so the Hp and Nm are the previous output, not the current 450 Nm. |

Or if you can stretch your budget, Santa Fe 2.2D is quite a good looking car. Having owned Sportage GT from 2011 to 2018, I did test drive the Sorento 2.2D before opted for CX-5 2.2D as that time didn't really need the 3rd row option. |

QUOTE(lansi_raju @ Dec 13 2021, 12:24 PM) hi folks, gonna be a new owner sonic silver for 2.0G High soon. As per the above reply,It's gonna be my 1st Mazda upgrade from proton. In terms of coating & tinting, I saw there's recommendation but still not sure how to choose... any reckon from starters until intermediate level? just wanna allocate budget for these accessories. If budget is tight, change the front windscreen tint. The installed Skytint is cr*pped for the front windscreen tint. The side windows can use magnetic shade first as the specs & darkness are still decent, unlike the front windscreen. If budget permitted, for around RM2.5k, you can get 3M Crystalline, Huper Optik, Llumar, Hamel Royale, etc for the whole car. Or above Rm3k for VKool |

QUOTE(ahpoo @ Feb 22 2022, 04:17 PM) Can I change my battery at any shop? Or need to go SC or specialised shop? After change need to tweak anything at system? Copy n paste1. Warm up the engine. Turn everything electrical off that you can - radio, A/C etc so there is no/minimal electrical load. 2. Switch the ignition off. 3. Switch ignition to on but dont start engine. Long-press the i-stop OFF switch for 3 s within 5 s after switching the ignition ON. 4. Start the engine. 5. Press the i-stop OFF switch. Verify that the i-stop indicator light (green) flashes and stays flashing. If it does not flash, go back to Step 3. 6. Allow the engine to idle for 10 minutes, or until the i-stop indicator light (green) turns off. Mine didnt stop flashing so after 10 minutes or so i just went to step 7. 7. Switch the engine off. Wait a minute or two. 8. Start the engine. Go for a drive, and check that the i-stop system operates normally. Those with i-stop will know that you may need to drive a mile or two until it activates. Remember that i-stop will not operate when (a) diesel engines are in regen mode, and (b) in some other conditions - see your manual for details. Also, if a new battery was fitted, it may take some time for the new battery to fully charge up before i-stop will start working. Go for a decent drive so it gets fully charged. 9. If i-stop operates as normal, you have successfully reset it. |
