Different country of manufacturing. Ninja shades is from Taiwan if not mistaken. Samurai shades which cost 70% cheaper comes from Thailand. Both functions the same but I can't comment on the quality over the long run.

Your girlfriend is correct. I also feel that putting shades are ruining the look of the car  rclxm9.gif So I don't use any shades usually. Rather panas and sun light blind my eyes also don't wan use XD Opt for better tint instead.

sweat.gif But also damn awkward when you step down from the car and whole shirt wet spot here and there..

I am thinking to put that magic tint for both passenger side...so if JPJ block, why so black, i just peal them off...

Wonder why Ninja shades cost so much...I mean i bought no brand magnetic shades from accessories for my Saga BLM, and it also perfectly fit..(just that the 3M dont stick onto my rubber frame, keep failing off)

How to install Ninja shades?
Ok...Got it from youtube...btw, it bends as well..!!

but sadly, my gf said shades are pulling down the standard of the car.. haha

ninja shade still need 3m hook? i thought its magnetic, just stick to the window frame?

I dont think it need hook (after a few youtube vids).

I first thought it was similar to my no-brand shades, but now proven not similar.. and also ninja shades can bend into smaller shape for easy storage..

Time for new gf...? whistling.gif biggrin.gif

I thought the same too but no choice.. Felt too naked after getting used to similar sunshade on previous vehicle.. Previous ones used 3M stickers and cost RM3X.. CX-5's are magnetic and cost RM2xx.. rclxub.gif Though, I must confess that these are a much better fit and of significant quality than the previous ones.

I considered that magic tint but figured it's too much drama and for all I know, one time it'll unravel while the window is going down.. Press to come back up and gets tangled in the mechanism.. 3M or Magnet more safer.

There are probably 2 versions.. But mostly I see (and using) is the magnetic one.

Here's what it looks like on the passenger's side..

I'm sticking with stock mats for now. Will probably get the rubber cargo tray mat for the boot later on. See how they all fare for now. Plenty of custom mats options for replacement, if stock isn't to your liking.

You are welcome.. Only the front driver's and passenger's look like this, cuz need unobstructed views of both side-mirrors and around the A pillars for going around bends, etc. 2nd row & rear windows are fully covered. Cuz it's magnetic, it sticks in front of the window panes (on the inside), as such, does not hinder windows going up or down and won't fall outside.

Yep.. Coil mats everywhere.

Thanks for the input. I tried to step on my friend’s Civic FD with TRAPO mats, it seems comfy. Does it worth for the bucks? Still considering now.

my SA gave me free aftermarket coil mat, so i have at bottom is the stock coil mat, then above that is the after market coil mat, with that, it can preserve the stock coil mat life span and be used for another good few years?

note to add to my previous issue on the touchscreen.

Findings: cannot use touch screen when connected to handphone via bluetooth, once disconnected it is usable again. can anyone confirm?

Agree, I really like the shades as they are immune to traffic block..Because our MOT once said shades are legal as they can be taken off anytime..
But but but...sigh...

Oh, didn't think of the tangle problem..Looks like i need to pursue my gf for shades approval hahaha! biggrin.gif

Using stock mats. It's pretty good and comfortable. Previously I was using those cargo type mat and it was not comfortable.

So far it's all good and nice. I roll down my window to use touch and go so no issue there but it does reduce the infra red sensitivity since it's 2 layers. My condo's access card is a bit hard to get detected now. Heat reduce is way a lot better than previously. Definitely can pass JPJ as the VLT is 70%.

No such issue..I connect my phone via bluetooth and I pick my songs from the screen. The only condition you can't use the screen is when the car is moving.

Only you can decide if it's worth it.. Pocket okay and feels better? Sure, go ahead. My advice first is to use stock and if die die can't tahan, then swap with Trapo. Your comfort is priority. Just make sure it doesn't hinder brake pressing or overly encourage the throttle. Got people get into accidents cuz of improper mats. Stock mats are held down and won't suddenly budge, there's hooks and all.

Oh I see.. How long have you been using it? Could be it needs sometime to release all those nasties then it'll be alright? I've had a leather steering wheel cover do the same. Took about a month or so for that strong pseudo leather smell to leave it.. Then all good. Of course, not healthy..

Yup, the shades work fine for me..

Touchscreen disabled even while parked? Will confirm later. I rarely use the touchscreen cuz finger oils leaving print marks. Much prefer to use the rotary knob even while parked. Grown used to it and muscle memory kicks in. Speaking of the touchscreen, anyone found decent cheap tempered glass that fits perfectly? Need one, so I don't scratch the glass. Matte or scratches resistant glass material even better.

Do test it out with the smart tag. It does reduce the sensitivity for my condo's access card sweat.gif
