confirmed now its luis.

well its more the roma when you are in serie a'.the summer time ends for him now, as the italian press is one of the most vicious and he has a lot to keep in check if he were to lead roma to the holy land.

1st expectations i say would be happy to see a return to cl, and lifting the europa or coppa.either one would be a good boost.

Welcome to the Eternal City, Luis. biggrin.gif

report say that he n Sabatini as well as Baldini spent a night in trigoria n discuss abt the direction n organization of the team, n also abt the transfer market.

Sabatini gave his 1st press conference 2 days ago n mention that we wil get '5-6' players in.

after much rumours abt new players that we are getting, it seem now Bojan could be the 1st... Sky Italia reported that we had agreed some sort of loan deal with option to buy plus counter option from Barca. let's see if it will be confirmed anytime from now.

nothing is official despite there had been numerous reports n rumours biggrin.gif

here's some updates anyway :

- Erik Lamela is said to be in Trigoria already n we got him for 12mil... we'll see.

- Riise is said to had his medical with Fulham. Personally its pretty sad to see him go as I quite like him as a player, wish him all the best.

- reportedly Bojan deal is being delay bcoz of Barca still havent got their man Sanchez, but Bojan had admitted that exit is imminent anyway.

- the news of Jose Angel Valdes had died down n we now got link with Emiliano Insua... another LB from Liverpool ? hmm.gif

- I'll pop a champagne when Doni is *FINALLY* out.

agreed.among the many players in the squad he never whined about anything, a good player for roma i wonder if its right to sell him....seruously this new take over is cropping up more problems then solutions. rclxub.gif

the fans, owners needs to understand buying never solves anything even if you have loads of money(just look at shitteh)

Added on July 9, 2011, 11:06 pmlamela looks like to be in the bag....but still an unproven player in serie a'.....

a little bit updates here n there...

1. Riise is officially a Fulham player now, reported fee is ard 2.5mil euro. All the best to u John !

2. The replacement, Jose Angel Valdes had arrived at Rome, we probably paid Sporting Gijon 4 to 5mil for him.

user posted image

3. Carlos Kameni of Espanyol now looks set to be our new 1st choic GK... What the hell ? I prefer Stekelenburg over him anytime. Still hope that we get Stek instead of Kameni.

4. Lamela had signed the papers but wouldn't be annouced as official until he got his Spanish passport or something like that.

anyway, there will be a presentation scheduled later 2day, most probably to officially present Di Benedetto as the owner, Luis Enrique as the new manager n a couple of new players... so who knows, lets see will there be any surprises. biggrin.gif

roma are still in a cloud of uncertainty...wch im not sure why it hadnt been sorted out earlier.maybe they didnt plan to sell so many nor sign so many.

anyway the coach seems too quiet about players wch i dont like.he should be the one calling the shots who he wants not sabbatini.might as well let sabbatini coach the side if he is the one doing all the buying/selling.

I'm pretty sure that Sabatini is working according to the request or preference of LE. Bojan, Valdes, n Kameni are all from La Liga, so it wouldn't surprise me if LE actually specifically ask to go for them.

I think Spanish people often call 'Jose Angel Valdes' as 'Jose Angel', not Valdes.

this is what i was talking about earlier men.3 heads running a club in the same field of power is no go.you need a coach who runs solely the team, director of sport for the well being, development of the club assets(including players) and last but not least one guy who calls the shots for the president in the business sense of things.

this setup will be put to the test come the new season.for roma's sake it better work or those 3 men have their boundaries clearly drawn.

Well I've heard of him before as a decent young left back set to rise to the top. And he had a good game against Barca last season as well. But don't put too much expectation on him yet. Firstly La Liga has seen several young emerging full backs being snapped up by bigger clubs, but disappear thereafter. Secondly Angel has never actually hold up a regular 1st team place at Sporting (he shared the position with the older Canella). Thirdly during Euro U21, he played not even one game, as Luis Milla preferred Didac Vila most of the time. And yes, Vila is the unfortunate boy who has returned to Espanyol after making only 1 appearance with Milan last season laugh.gif

Still, its a known fact that Barca showed some interest, and has even bid for him. So he should possess some quality right? thumbup.gif The key: Just be patient, OK?

i thought it works roughly the same way for most of the clubs out there. The coach request for players (or type of player) he wants, n its the director of sports to do the negotiation n business stuff.

Anyway my point is there's no reason to NOT believe that LE is the 1 who making the calls there. No indications to shows that Sabatini is buying players based on his own preference. If he is then i can ensure you we'll be linked to shitloads n shitloads of South Americans already, not Spanishs. This guy hav something on Argies or Brazilians. biggrin.gif

Jose Angel Valdes is officially a Roma player a couple of days ago... so far the 1st that being made 'official' with statement released by the club.

Heinze is in Rome already so unless something really dramatic happens he can be say as 'officially' our new player, too. Well, he come as a free agent n wouldnt earn that much, so I say its a good move to add some much needed depth in the defense there.

the Stekelenburg saga is still dragging on... laz i know is that Sabatini is in Amsterdam dealing with Ajax for it.

and also now that Barca got thier man Sanchez, i expecting Bojan to join us officially pretty soon.

he is in Rome right now, supposingly he'll sign the contract by today.

anyway Barca had confirmed that Bojan is joining us... but what the hell ? 12mil for now then Barca can buy him back for 13mil 2 years later, n to block that we need to pay up 28mil more to make it become 40mil overall... seriously, why would we agree to this kind of deal doh.gif
