there's something odd going on there with the lack of significant moves n news so far... well my guess is we are in a greater mess than the new boss expected, thx to Rosella  doh.gif

anyway, Allegri had confirmed that Mexy is joining AC... great, our fantastic 'tradition' of losing at least 1 star player per season continues. Cant blame him, the 'old' management simply farked this up - they offered Perrotta n Taddei new deals while ignore Mexes ? God i'm speechless.

there also rumours that said Pastore already agreed to join us - provided we can come out with enough cash to please that lunatic Zamparini (president of Palermo).

the first one to flee from sinking ship perhaps.first thing the new owners need to do is find a solid man to man the team.dont get me wrong montella is great but with the squad with ego's bigger then the roman empire itself, need some one who will give the chop, mold the team and stamp out any complacency and tantrum not just a manager with good footy tactics only.

wow Pastore to join Roma? Nice move. Haha Zamprini clearly a crazy guy.. He want 80m for Pastore? If dat was the case then Messi would cost atleast 300m tongue.gif

QUOTE(Muhammad Syukri @ May 11 2011, 12:01 PM)
Pastore overrated, watched his play last night,he prefer to play solo than a teamwork where instead he had a chance to assist,he shoot the ball and goes wide into the air.

He still far from Messi level.
*
i agreed that he's being overrated now, but still he's raw n ooze with natural talents - he just need some more polishing. but then again, 30mil for him seem too much for me.

Montella is not the right man, his tactical decisions for past few matches had convinced me that he wouldnt take the team to another level other than mediocrity in a long run. I remain hopeful to see some1 who is more experience to come in.

anyway there goes the silver star for another year doh.gif

with the departures and future departures, roma do need to delve in it.but, remember buying rarely solves everything.first stop get a coach that cant control the spoilt roman heroes, 2 do prey that the new owners wont do a "roman abromovich".

surely DiBenedetto wouldnt spend like Abramovich - he didnt brought the club on his own fortune, there's other partners.

2 notable updates on transfer rumours :

1. Sabatini (our new Sporting Director) had met up with Erik Lamela n River Plate is now ready to listen to offer.

2. there are reports that said Gregory Van der Wiel to us is 'practically' n 'almost' done deal... wat a surprise blink.gif

im not talking about romans expenditure on players mate, im talking more about his meddling on football affairs.i.e 7th manager in 8 seasons.one thing with the sensi's at least they kept and open communication and rarely meddled matters on field.

what the new owners need to do is look after the business side of things, running the club, getting new sponsors, facilities, management etc.once they do find a coach let him do his job and aid him, not telling him what to do or who to play when results are against the team.it takes patience to string out results, no magic cure.

we already hired seasoned n experienced guys in Baldini n Sabatini as directors, so I dont see the worries for that as for now.

rumour time !

1. Deschamps is being tipped as the favorite to become the new manager... but Marseille president moved quickly to called it "bullshit" biggrin.gif

2. Argentinian media claimed that Sabatini had agreed a 12mil deal with River Plate for Lamela.

3. Balzaretti is being reported as "99% certain" to join us... lol WTF, how they came out with the 99% thing ? biggrin.gif

hope so lah.sbb ski pun ada numerous directors but whats a director gonna do when the man who gives him his paycheck comes barging in kan?? biggrin.gif

as for coaches rally wanted to see walter mazzari take the role.but he plak now certain to stay in napoli.the man is good man.carlo also still in the running i guess.

as for players...defense needs to be revamped, a winger or 2, and maybe another midfielder would do nicely for roma.for ages now the squad depth is there and if europe is to be challenged seriously we need depth.the same 20 bodies cant go on 60++ games through out the season.

I was initially wanted Carlo back in here but after he got sacked... well he seem to pretty much distance himself from us n claim that wanna stay in England.

well so much for the 'dream' n 'love' of wanna coaching us.

now the hot rumours are that Sabatini is going to meet up with Luis Enrique who is incharge of Barca B now hmm.gif

he stepped down at barca b..so must be nearing then.kinda weird going all the way to spain and on top of that to a man with out the day to day top league knowledge.....maybe the owners are looking more at pep's esque to fill in.

anyway should be interesting what he brings in.patience will be the key tho, no instant success.

Good luck to Luis. His work with our B team in the last 3 seasons has been remarkable. Third in Segunda was the highest placing in the history of our B team. But managing Roma is gonna be a whole new challenge, as while with Barca B, he only managed youngsters and some older players with flagging career. The ego was nearly nonexistent.

And de la Pena has also joined him at Roma too I heard rclxms.gif

Jeffren and Oriol have good talents. And under Luis, Jonathan scored 32 goals in Segunda last season. Although he is now already 25, Roma can hope that he'll be a late bloomer.

But there is an interesting article in Sport.es, that Luis has reveal in his blog that no agreement has been signed, although it really seems an agreement is imminent. Well Luis surely won't throw this chance away I guess.
