you need to create a China address. Go visit this website and login with your facebook account.
https://www.mypostonline.com.my/index.php/M...ogin/login.html

go to warehouse address by select the left panel. then choose one of the addresses you like.

go back to taobao then login your account. in the taobao webpage, move your mouse cursor to your taobao username at above, click on account management.
then click on 收货地址 and insert your china address. Remember to set your China address as the default.

So now you can buy the router from tmall. Switch to China then click checkout, then choose your Malaysia address in the checkout page.

Always login to your taobao first before you proceed to search that router to buy from tmall.

Okay, that seems to work. Thanks!

Turn off the HyppTV for 1 minute by disconnecting the AC adaptor but leave the ethernet cable plugged in
Reconnect the AC adaptor but let it run at the home screen for a few minutes before you actually open the HyppTV channels

Just bought one from the link below for a total of 931 Yuan including direct shipping. For some reason, I couldn't get the 60 Yuan coupon since it said I didn't have enough points? But I did get some coupons for a total of 25 Yuan.

Just received mine today too. Total damage RM565 including shipping + 10% agent service fee..price bought was 789 RMB..

kinda late to the party since was waiting confirmation for fan free gift from asus..was told free gifts only for first 500, and finished 55 seconds after 12am  doh.gif

router just updated to latest firmware, wireless region changed to Australia as mentioned by sHawTY, cooler master fan delivered..only pending to buy UK plug..

wondering what else to check for this beast  hmm.gif

Regarding setting up the China version of AC86U, am I right to say that I have to first setup the internet connectivity, then only follow by firmware version upgrade and so on?

Thank you

yes, you did the right thing, both fans need to in blow in position.

Why blow in? This is to avoid dust being caught inside, if you blow out, the dust will accumulate after some time.
