Hi guys, I’m planning to get a 2018 MacBook Pro 13 for my wife. But with all the news and complaints about the keyboard issues, it makes me wanna think twice about it, but then again the longevity and value that it can provide are very enticing. Is there any way to prevent this issue?

Is using keyboard cover good enough? 🤔

get MBP 13" 2019 base model.

it uses 4th generation butterfly switch keyboard.

Should be okay by now.

otherwise, the Apple's generous 4 year faulty keyboard replacement program should give you peace of mind.

Hmm, from the news itself it seems that the issue has not been entirely fixed. Another reason I’m thinking about the 2018 is the clearance price by a renown chain IT shop here in Singapore selling it for cheap, like $1899 for 16gb + 512gb cheap. Comparing it to the baseline 2019 model of 8gb + 128gb, it’s really a no brainer, other than the keyboard horror stories.

I having issue sometimes my Macbook USB-C hub is not responding it need to resolved by reset SMC everytime, anyone having the same issue?

I suspecting it was my Aukey USB hub causing it but worry it could also be the hardware itself, am using 2019 Macbook Pro
