Hi guys, new 13” quadcore MBP user here😊
Sold off my 2012 15” rMBP for this used one.

Before buying, I braced myself with the fact that the current ones only have USB Cs. I gotta say I’m coping with it.

But the one thing that makes me miss my old machine is actually the Magsafe. Being a clumsy guy and living with a cat, I cant seem to be able to leave the Macbook plugged in without thinking of the worst. Haha.

everyone miss magsafe lol, still kinda hate the fact that they actually removed it. but good thing is you wont have to buy a whole new charger now, just cable will do.

review for this is actually so-so, not a really good alternative unless you really need it at cheaper price

no point to invest on third party product like this. the user experience is not going to be the same.

actually usb-c is not that bad. especially if u have the touch-bar models. touch-bar models have usb-c ports on both sides of the macbook pro. so u can choose a side to plug in the usb-cable for charging purpose that is safe to prevent anyone from tripping over the cords.

of course 15-inch, u need the better GPU and screen size.

13-inch is very portable but lacks of the power u need.

13" have good enough power actually. But you'll be thankful with 15", more space to for artboards.

You'll have more than Full HD pixels.

I need 15" because I can see more designs when doing app

yeah... less than 1 month old. sad.gif

I actually had the case on when it fell. I think the side hit the zip, that's why it got scarred. The floor was a flat, smooth surface.

If I go to Apple store, they will change the whole aluminum for me??

btw, did you guys buy the Apple Care?

If I were you, I would sell it away and get a new one. Fixing it will never be the same again...

I am sure without AppleCare it is still possible to claim warranty. There is repair program for 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro touchbar.

new problem, Flexgate,
It seems this time more serious than butterfly keyboard, the screen itself cost USD600 to replace instead of replacing the flex cable
