Hmmm. Do you mean 404 is all rounder wheelset? 58mm profile seem to be too high profile for hilly route like Perez, Bukit Hantu, GS, Fraser etc. No?

I’m enjoying cycling too much at the moment. Past month has been great where I cycling about 30km everyday on trainer, did my first century ride and lose about 10kg in Sept. So it drives me crazy. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

What do you want in cycling. Weight loss or podium.

+1 for racing zero. This wheelset will last u a long time and when u decide to sell it off in the future it has quite a good demand.

Weight loss is the main but going faster gives more boast to the main objective. So, both, they are related, weight loss and going faster beating PB.

imo, aero is the way to go generally.

if you see cannondale's latest systemsix white paper / marketing literature, basically with their wheelset knox 64 on that aero bike is faster up hills up to 6% vs their lightweight supersix evo.

of coz power output and weight of rider & bike will change that %, but just an idea. it was 300w and 75kg rider weight in that white paper.

OK. If you have the money keep 404, get a 35 or 40mm wheelset.
Btw
I would wait awhile and see the market in future for disc RB. Seems like it will be coming to replace ye old normal rim brake
So spend it wisely

Yeah, disc bike is growing pretty fast recently. Would like to wait but if the hand is too ichy, I would go for second wheelset where I probably save half of the price.

Saw Mavic R-Sys SLR, an aluminium with weight specified at 1.29kg is pretty impressive. Second is going for slightly below RM3k. Another is Fulcrum Racing Zero Carbon at 1.39kg for RM4.4k, the used one.

By the way, my current 404 is equipped with 11-30 cassette. If the second wheel using 11-28 or same model 11-30 cassette, do I need to tune the gearing everything I swap the wheel?

Rant:
Problem with a sub standard screw on Garmin HRM. Can't get it off to replace dead battery. Contacts Garmin Malaya/ aeco. They're happy to sell you a new screw never mind you can't the damn thing off the HRm.
Specialised pj where I bought the Garmin bundle advises to gently trust the back cover of the HRm off, result: cover off but screw still in place and the back cover has a bigger hole where t that damned screw sits.
Not buying from aeco ever again. Paying a premium for nothing. Please don't be like me. Sekian.

I see. I think I am using standard cage supplied with Ultegra Di2 which support up to 11-30 cassette.

Ok noted. No need to adjust anything. Just swap and ride. Thanks guys!

I feel you bro... lucky for me this week and next I am pre-occupied with extra work... or not, I'll be just as blue as you are.
