The screen is the most expensive component to replace within a television . Replacement will probably cost you 90% of the price of a whole new TV .

its really stupid. i was watching netflix and vaping. i put my vape on my lap scared it will stains my sofa.

then i get up to get a drink n forgot about the vape on my lap.

vape fell down on the floor, the drip tip shoots out to tv. my vape is kinda heavy. i kinda mindfucked the whole day. how could a small cheap ass plastic tip can damage my new tv...

called samsung. tech will come to my house and replace the screen for 1.6k. no choice i'll just pay for it. bought the tv for 3k. and i doubt i can get similar spec tv for around 1.6-2k.

there goes my savings for 5.1 av reciever.

my samsung smart tv remote broke. can i use the normal samsung tv remote. my tv is 55ks7000, and its out off warranty. tq

New one about rm160-180. Standard universal one about 40/- but the keys too many and not easy to press.

meaning, the standard one can be fully funtional at ks7000? have u tried? tq

You can borrow the remote from another Samsung model and try.

But I bought a China type from Denki Best (that's some time back) which is compatible with a few models. Cost me rm30-40.

If you buy from the internet it will be around rm 20/- only.

i just tried today, borrow from my neighbor, works well except volume button. cannot adjust volume from soundbar directly from remote, need to use samsung apps or soundbar remote. neightbor's remote is original from samsung, exaxtly like yours ngto but diff brand. i connect soundbar to tv using digital out. any other solution. nway, what tv do u use ngto? tq.

Same as you , KS7000. No problem with adjusting the volume of the tv.

This remote is for tv, no guarantee it is compatible with soundbar.

If your tv is using digital out, the analogue volume of your tv cannot be adjusted. You want to adjust volume of tv, you must select sound output to tv speakers.

hmm.. because peviosly the smart remote able to adjust the volume of soundbar while using it on tv... thinking of buying new smart remote or repair it. it's a hassle to use soundbar remote to adjjst the volume. nway, is your tv able to enable Cal night/day via service menu? i watch in youtube quantum apoptheosis.

If you don't mind paying for the smart remote, that's the best option.

Way back when I first bought the tv, I could activate the service menu for cal 1/2 with the China remote, but didn't use it. Now I don't know if Calibration option can still be activated with subsequent fw.

how do u activate it?

You have to Google for the keystroke combo to access the menu to enable Cal day/night. I can't remember the sequence.

Be careful, there are a lot of stuff inside that can be changed accidently.

hi, i just set up astro byond super pack 1, normal hd decoder. im using samsung 4k tv ks7000 and soundbar samsung hwk551 which able to decode dolby 5.1. the soundbar has 1 hdmi in, 1 hdmi arc and optical cable.

if i want to enjoy dolby 5.1 from astro, how should i connect all my devices? tq.
