Hi, not sure how this dent occurs at the driver's side door well, will this be harmful to car rigidity or affect how the car's handling?
If wanted to remove this dent, should I go for outside body and paint shop or back to the 4S center?

Thank you

Just a small dent on the outer skin, won't affect anything other than being an eyesore.

I js installed this entry level android player, make sure you buy the converter if you want to use back the original DATA USB socket...if without the converter just cannot use the DATA usb, all other charger usb will not affected still can use. mine is 1.3 standard low spec.

Hi guys, I'm planning to change my 2016 Proton Iriz's bulbs into brighter type as stock type is quite dim. They're quite dim until I wasn't sure at times whether did I switch on the light or not.

I'm considering Osram Night Breaker, but some suggested LED bulbs. Also read some comments saying LED in non-projector headlamps (reflector, is it?) is a big no-no.

Which type would you recommend?

Edit: Is 1.3 2016 Iriz using projector or reflector? Sorry it's not actually my car, but my dads and I'm not really knowledgeable in car stuff

Hi all, it is time to change my engine oil this week, if Proton R3 engine oil (fully synthetic) any good? Saw from FB group stating it is more lighter than Proton normal engine oil (fully synthetic). Any different in term of fuel consumption of these 2 engine oil?

Hi!

Yes, the stock halogen bulbs are not so bright as you compare with the HID or Xenon bulbs but these bulbs are already outdated. There is a indicator on the meter panel when you switch on the lights and of course other indicators too (refer to the manual book)

Osram Night Breaker it's a good bulb because it's brighter than a normal halogen bulbs and whiter but the lifespan it's shorter. If you're lucky, it might last about 2 years otherwise less than 1 year. I had used 3 sets of Osram Night Breaker, then i switched to HID or Xenon bulbs and it works fine. Later the ballast gave problem and then i changed to a new ballast but it doesn't last, gave problem again.

After all these problems, i decided to change it to LED bulbs since 2019 until today it is still working in good condition and bright. I would recommend you to use the LED bulbs instead of Osram Night Breaker because LED bulbs only uses 40 watts compare to a halogen bulbs uses 55 watts and if you touch the headlamp it's hot if it's a halogen bulb. The LED bulb size is H11 and try to choose 15000 - 20000 lm (Lumen) and Lumen is the brightness of the light. Choose 6000K and this is the color of the light which is in white and don't go beyond 6000K because the light will have a bluish tint starting from 6500K.

I still can see when heavy rain at night and no problem going through few roadblocks. The reflector headlamps are designed to use Halogen bulbs only not LED bulbs. I'm sure you see a lot of cars with the LED bulbs on the reflector headlamps which causes glaring because there's no cut off line. Most of the drivers thinks that by using the LED bulbs is brighter than a Halogen bulbs but they forgotten is it suitable to use. For projector headlamp are designed to use either Xenon (HID) bulbs or LED bulbs.

The Proton Iriz 2016 still uses the projector headlamp and you can use the LED bulbs. Only 2019 Facelift model uses the reflector headlamp.

Usually how was it supposed to be?
I guess cutting power is part of the safety feature? I always confused between ESC and TC in iriz.
I never really watched because the driving is quite hap-hazard shocking.gif

if no indication, nothing is cut.

TC is a part of ESC, so you only need to remember ONE system > ESC/VSC/ESP (all same thing just different marketing naming)

yes i turned off the video the moment i reach that part. cuz i know it'll just waste my time.

Being using it for 25K KM, to be honest I do not feel any different vs proton fully synth

Not sure how do they feel that, I myself is using it and the reason i bought is because the grade oil lube the R3 fully synthetic has is actually graded ilsac gf-6a while proton lube is graded at ilsac gf-5.

The best way is to do used oil analysis which myself not yet done but have kept some sample from my previous serivces.

see Quazacolt pinned topic on the main F&F forum about lubes

Also, if you noticed petronas dont really sell ilsac gf-6a grade lube in Malaysia but it is listed in API webpage.

So i presumed this particular grade is only available overseas petronas lube.

My car still under warranty too so when i change my lube I just show proton global services receipt (got from them directly) as proof that I bought it officially via proton. Cant really do that if you want to change lube to motul or liqui molly while car is still under warranty

Just out of my curiosity, can the exora bold wheel hub fits iriz's? I saw a Youtube video about the owner modified his wheel hub from 4 lugs to 5 lugs by drilling and welding extra hole on the wheel hub itself to make it 5 lugs which seems not safe in every way.

Errr even if it can be done I wont go into this path.

Unless your car is purely showcar should be no problem.

I would stay far from it as I tend to push my car here and there.
