Which seatbelt part is the one that's rattling? Mine is in the door. You don't have any whine at all? Even at the rear left wheel?
*
You know where you pull the seatbelt? That area actually has plastic-to-plastic sounds on uneven roads, annoying at times since right beside my ear. Another is the seat belt "holder" thingy at the floor, beside the seat - that thing wiggles about hitting everything. I'll take pics next time.

Nope, no whine sound from the rear for me. Isn't whine sound is due to bearing?

Hi All.

My IRIZ 1.6l Premium having possibly, piling up H.U. issues lately. Started with H.U. radio automatically switched ON after i reversed then the lighting at the gear paddle indicator blinking occasionally & now completely not light up. After updated GKUI to the most recent, now map (GPS), no internet connection even using with wireless home connection.

What I do wrong here? Is it wiring issues? issue with car "A.I."?

This is my 1st proton. I do not want to generalize issues with proton brand. I am looking for best solution from all Sifoos in here

I suspected it's bearing, but it's also there even when stationary. It's very likely my exhaust, so will get them to check it out on my next service.

Try factory resetting the headunit, it solved quite a lot of problems.

For the dead bulb at the gear shifter, it's also (sadly) a very common issue, but easily replaced under warranty at your service centre.

When did you get the 1.6 Premium? How many KM already?

Just wanna share some update with the rest about my Iriz 1.6 Premium:

About 2 & 1/2 months in, 5,000KM:

- Noticed a high-pitched whine coming from the exhaust. Especially obvious on left-rear wheel side. (Anyone else have this?)
- Driver-side door rattles on uneven roads, quiet other than that.
- Slight rattling behind headunit (common issue, I think) on uneven roads.
- Headunit randomly pauses and tells you what song is playing (on Bluetooth); damn irritating.  mad.gif
- The automatic headlight is quite disappointing; overly aggressive with cloudy skies and slow to react.
- Fuel consumption is averaging around 12.1km/L (50/50 highway/city).
- Personal issue: The seat is slightly uncomfortable for me, but I've got a rather big frame. It tenses the shoulders.  dry.gif

All in all, fuel consumption is nothing to shout about with this car, so those who are asking how it's like, don't expect too much. The handling does put smiles on everyone faces, however.  bruce.gif

8xx KM

1. No high pitched sound
2. Right rear passenger door rattling sound on uneven road.
3. No rattling sound at HU area
4. No random pause at HU
5. i never turn on auto headlight...
6. FC full tank can go around 350km with 100% city and kampung drive
7. I love the seat...fit me nicely.. better than my honda city 2014.

Are you having trouble shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear? I usually need to go to neutral first when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. When fast shifting usually stuck. I'm not sure is it because of my awkward position when handling the gear knob or other problem.
*
skill problem, heh

But since center N is on the way, there's no way avoiding it? hmm.gif

Initially i just push upwards so that the gear back to center itself and only push into 3rd, after some time i feel its better/smoother and less noisy if i guide the gear knob all the way N then to 3rd (z pattern). Experienced before miss the slot and need to re-enter, but that i think is human problem

Good question, actually. According to their website:

2.12. BODY EXTERIOR
All cables, soft trim items and bright metal & trims and discoloration- paint work.

https://www.proton.com/en/after-sales/our-warranty

Since it's under warranty for discoloration ( hmm.gif ), better to just send it to Proton 4S centre. They will have a ketuk + spray workshop. Not sure about the price though.

This is very helpful! Thanks a lot. Now am waiting in proton service centre to ask about their opinion

Yeah probably biggrin.gif . I prefer a round gear knob compared to this car's manual gear knob. I rarely have this problem with my Savvy since its a round gear knob. My hand position probably changed a bit with this gear knob shape.

The miss shift has reduced though after forcing myself holding it like a round gear knob but still the shape makes me want to hold it like an auto gear knob doh.gif .

after 4 years, radiator pipe leaked. mechanic said there's a lot of rust.
i called service center. well jokes on you.
protong warranty is 5 years except these specific parts (everything).

lol scammed.

get it fixed at a workshop near my house because don't want to drive that far and overheat again.
mechanic buys original parts.
lol double scammed. it's gonna rust again and burst.

My HONDA CITY GM6 2014 after 1st year at HONDA SC never send back again service except for cvt oil, fuel filter and belt.

Coolant, engine oil, brake oil all do outside.
Coolant using premix motul coolant, hoses using forged racing radiator hoses, coolant change every 2 years together with brake oil.
My radiator and my coolant system serve me well with no corrosion.
I always monitoring my coolant temp with a digital gauge too.

*Sometimes those SC technician never follow the procedure, the just top up your radiator tank or spare tank using air paip..
*Spray your air filter using air gun.

Was looking at carlist for the discontinued 1.6 Manual and also Satria neo 1.6 Manual (non r3 bodykit).

More like wanted to have a manual car to drive around and occasionally rempit here and there.

Not interested in modding, perhaps at most going for better/lighther 15 inch wheel and better tires.

Not sure any members here have drove both and able to give feedback of pros and cons of the following:

What My observation of both car:
-Iriz is newer model for sure.
-Iriz dimension is more compact than satria
-Iriz only front disc equiped while Satria is all round disk.
-Is Iriz supposedly lighter than satria? Knowing Iriz chassis is more rigid due to construction.
-Iriz have more safety standard than satria.
-Most satria on used market were modded in way or so. Not sure really mint unit can be found

Do i miss anything?

Also, I am curious about this:
If under hard driving does satria brake will be more efficient over long run vs iriz front disk rear drum setup? Brake fake.
