I think its normal, my CIMB DA CC has the logo at back of the card as well... so I don't see anything wrong with MVD having the shiny logo at back of card,

And I think close account they might charge you money too...

Hi all,
Can Public Bank Visa Electron be accepted by all petrol stations?

QUOTE(hafz @ Mar 17 2008, 08:22 PM)
Hiii

Is Realy paypal can't accept Maybankard Debit...
hmm.gif  I think you should change the flag...I dun know
actually but just like written in FAQ
"
11. Can I use my Maybankard Visa Debit outside Malaysia?
You can use your Maybankard Visa Debit abroad provided you activate the overseas flag prior to your departure. The activation process can be done through our Maybank ATMs or through our 24 hours customer service center at 1-300-88-6688. Your Maybankard Visa Debit can then be used for retail purchases at any VISA merchants and cash withdrawal at any ATMs with a VISA PLUS logo "

mm during my application Maybank Debit this afternoon, the
officer said this card can be used in Internet transaction such Buying good
from amazon...

Just give my opinion...

Detail here

http://www.maybank2u.com.my/site_functions...?visa_debit#a11
*
hmmm this I not sure... will there be any hidden/extra charges if i activate my overseas flag?
guess i'll focus on using PBVE instead, MVD will keep it as backup...

I found this feature quite irritating actually although it is because of security purposes. I got shock when I check my online statement stated that I used more than RM150 to pump petrol sweat.gif  Luckily after calling up CS to verify the matter, then only I understood after she explain to me. Phew.

Another disadvantage of PB debit card, the online statement is kind of slow, it is not real time update. It have to wait 3 working days to process into the statement. We don't really can't see the statement and easily get confuse on the balance
*
I think debit cards and credit cards works the same way when you pump petrol, RM150 will be deducted from your card until everything is processed only credit back the amount to your card. Just that with credit cards, you do not know about this cause usually credit limit is > RM150...

Haha, they did not charge me RM12, I got it free. tongue.gif

Btw, I do love their free annual fees, which is quite good. Unlike Public Bank, you need to spend >RM1200 to get your annual fees of RM24 to be waived.
*
i thought is >rm1000 to waive annual fee?

anyway if i change my signature, do i need to change my card as well?

I am not sure, if I not mistaken, the amount the customer service person told me is RM1200.

No need, just use back the old signature ler. Eventually, if you draw a tortoise, cashier didnt even bother. My friend tried drawing tortoise a few times when he is using his card
*
so its confirm need spend >1200 to get fee waiver?

what if they don't want to accept my card if signature is different? sign back my old signature for them? tongue.gif

If they doesn't want to swipe, not due to minimum amount but due to it is maybank debit card, ask her what bank they are using, saying you want to complaint or look for their manager. Bank has contract with every merchant that using the visa/mastercard services.

What he-sham said is correct. I do always say 'accept card?'
*
Well I did mine by accident when I purchase ticket online, it direct me to activate this pin feature for first time, then subsequently I can use the pin that I've set.

Hi all,

Are there any Debit Mastercard that has no annual fee or fee waiver with/without condition?

I only know for Visa, MVD is free for life and PBVE fee waiver if yearly spending >1k...

Thanks.

PBVE is the best choice so far, but bad experience for me nonetheless... refer past posts from me for more... but still I give them the benefit of the doubt. they do have a good reputation as the best debit card around.
*
Yea I'm using PBVE as well. But looking for alternative Debit Mastercard just incase some place do not accept Visa. But seems like all Debit Mastercard I know have annual fee.

Oh ya do you know how much I need to spend annually on PBVE to get the fee waiver? RM1000 or RM1200?
