Well imo Standard Chartered Debit Mastercard is very good... if they open few more branches in Penang I'm sure will get myself one.

Hi all,
For PBVE, we must always maintain RM25 in the card. But if I cancel the card, where will RM25 go? |

Hi all,
Just read TnC from SCB: QUOTE 10. Cash rebate with Debit Card is only given to petrol purchases made at petrol kiosk island pumps using merchant category codes (MCC) 5541 and 5542, subject to a maximum rebate of RM100 per Cardholder per month. What MCC means? And how we know which petrol kiosks are using MCC 5541 and 5542?11. Only purchases made at these outlets using the Debit Card can enjoy the cash rebate. This shall apply notwithstanding any operational fault or anything else preventing the Cardholder using the Debit Card. SCBMB will not be responsible for the Cardholder being unable to enjoy the rebate as a result of the foregoing. Also SCB Debit Card can be used with paypal? Thanks. |

QUOTE(roozaimee @ Jul 12 2008, 10:30 AM) errrr..... yesterday i tried to use PBVE at shell petrol pump.... How much balance you have in your card? If balance is less than RM175, it will be rejected.but it was rejected... wonder why eh? is it rejected at the petrol pump? tis is my first time use it.. For pump at petrol kiosk, they will deduct RM150 from you card first until the bank receive statement from the petrol station only credit back your amount. The other RM25 is the minimum balance you need to maintain in your card or else you card could not be used. |

QUOTE(roozaimee @ Jul 13 2008, 10:12 AM) owh.... that must be prob at the pump station.... Hmmm then I'm not sure why your card was not accepted. Have you tried with other petrol station? I previously used my PBVE without any problem when pumping petrol.my balance is more than rm175... btw, how long it takes to refund the rm150? is it happens whenever i go to different petrol station? For RM150 deduction, this is what I get from MBB Visa Debit FAQ and I believes it applies to all DC or CC. QUOTE Petrol transaction at the pump (outdoor) – Pre-authorization amount is RM150 but some petrol operators allow the cardholder to select the amount at the pump. Pre-authorization amount will be charged to customer’s banking account during the fill-up. The pre-authorization amount will be reversed back and the actual filled-up amount will be charged to customer’s bank account once the bank receives the actual This post has been edited by Shinichi: Jul 13 2008, 12:11 PMfilled-up amount from the acquiring bank. Average pre-authorization holding day is 3 days. |

RM12 service fee will be charged for cash withdrawals made at oversea/by using Maestro ATM network Thanks for your reply. So you tried to pump petrol at just any petrol station before? Did you get the 7% rebate? And I still do not get what they mean by merchant category codes (MCC) 5541 and 5542 QUOTE 10. QUOTE(kumarr @ Oct 31 2008, 04:24 AM) I guess because of MVD is free without any fees, therefore they might not implement online support.Btw, are there any free for life debit card in Malaysia that can support online transaction? |
