QUOTE(Everdying @ May 3 2018, 11:45 AM) If the game calls for his physicality then I'm sure Zidane won't hesitate to call on him...QUOTE(prophetjul @ May 3 2018, 11:49 AM) That's the idea, is it not. We just couldn't live with pressing for full 90mins. Have to manage our fitness level and be selective when and whom to press. Conceding 2 goals to below average team after 70 mins is considered norm for us; RMadrid could easily come back from 5 goals down if we are not being careful. That's the thing. Must make sure we can keep the same thing going for 90mins.Press and attack and get your goals, hopefully. It's 3 weeks to the final. Hopefully by then the players will be well rested and eager for the BIGGEST game of their lives. Yeah. Their squad smacks of quality. Our only chance of winning is to get early goals. And then play a managed game. If we start with a managed apprioach, our midfielders will lose control, for sure. I am sure Klopp can see that too. Yes, their counter is good. No one is doubting that. We approach a cautious approach like last night, we will lose the game. |

Real Madrid were the second best against Bayern Munich and were indeed fortunate to come away with the W. Marcelo's blatant handball went unpunished and Sven Ulreich inexplicably gifted Benzema with the easiest of tap-ins. Bayern also created more chances so I'm with Stevie when he said, he would rather have us play Real than Bayern.
Here's a scathing article on Real and if you share the author's view, we will indeed be doing football some justice by beating them in Kiev. My colleague is Spanish and he has even more unflattering words for Real Madrid. https://deadspin.com/blame-bayern-munich-an...them-1825698206 |

But mentally, the will to win the big-eared cup might lend the players some powers. But but but, this is RMadrid, defending what they could legitimately claim as their cup... They would definitely come up on top in the battle of will.Hopefully this allows the players enough time to recuperate from the recent congested schedule and run the 90 minutes! I'm sure every time they pass in the direction of their left channel my heart would skip a beat... |

Get yer goals in the first 70 and consolidate where you can. Likewise, we will be up for No.6. Will they DEFINITELY come up top in the battle of wills? I doubt. This is LIVERPOOL FC. Klopp will not let the players' guard down. |

They are up for their 13th overall, and 4th in the last 5 years, with just about the same group of players. What guard down, we are the underdogs dude. They have all the advantages except the pressure of being the favourites which they are perfectly comfortable with... I'm usually optimistic but I prefer to be realistic when all facts point to that we are the massive underdogs. |

dont forget this RM is the one who beat the champs of france, italy and german. some more they are used to be in a final while us haven't been in for quite some time. i just hope that the players will keep their head cool and not being overconfident and us fans will keep on supporting them no matter what is the results later.

We did it three times in the last 3 rounds now. Till now, you have not indicated how we should approach the game. Beat them and we may see a kinda meltdown in Madrid. Aging players et al. It's not a coincidence they are having it hard in LaLiga. It is actually the best time to take them on in a one off game. Let's send CR7 to retirement. YNWA!!! Kiev here we come.
From now till then there will be a lot of articles stating who and why they will win the cup. There will also be a lot of keyboard warriors punching away telling everyone who they think (and why) will win the Cup. Whether they talk underdogs, favorites, 13 time unlucky, destiny, etc etc. All this will be nothing but crap and will have no bearing on what Klopp will do so lets enjoy the ride, get hyped up (or lower your own expectations), and wait for the most thrilling, heartbreaking, tear jerking (insert your own adjective here) 90 mins (+ mins if go extra time) moment since Istanbul 2005 (or Avengers Infinity War). YNWA! This post has been edited by terryfu: May 3 2018, 03:02 PM |

You could see the reply to your questions and suggestion in my early reply. We havent done whatever we have done to Porto, MCity & Roma to RMadrid. Doesnt mean we won't be able to do it, but let's show them more respect, they have earned that. They found it hard in the Liga because Ronaldo was not fit & firing; it's different story in UCL, it's like the anthem rile him up. |
