Dear all sifu, I want to ask if the ultra box can work without antenna? Just work on Internet?

But Ultra box support view from start through internet right?
So I can still view everything, just now live, maybe 5 minutes delay through internet

My parents need to watch on TV. It doesn't matter to always pres play from start... as a matter of fact, i think it is good, they won't miss any show... and beside they can always fast forward or skip.

Seems from both reply, it is doable to proceed with weak antenna

1. Yes, it is slow, but not to 5 min that long, about 3 mins for my unit. I think everytime it start up, it will check for update or something. My unit no need to unplug just let it do its stuff and I do mine until it comes alive loo...

2. Splitter main function is to take the input signal and split it, making the output end (2 or more) to have the same output. Splitter will show the same content on both TV. Usually use on shops to show same content on multiple TV for comparison and display purposes. Not much use to install at home but that just my thinking.

3. The best way to test is to try to play youtube 4k content or play from USB drive. Just curious what is that TV model? Usually 4k TV will not have such issue, it may also cause the the HDMI cable, try swap with another HDMI cable?

4. Astro app will not allow phone mirror. You can still watch astro without SAT cable, but it will not be live, it will be like 5 to 10 mins delay, just choose any of the channel and select the option to play from start, it will stream the content through network

1. Then just wait loo... 5 minutes is not that long. Else got one of those smart switch to turn on automatically at a preset time
2. Sorry, I am no expert in splitter. As for 4k vs FullHD I can notice the difference, but it all depends on the content you are watching and its bitrate as well as distance from TV and etc. Generally speaking if you have a 4k content and 4k TV just fully utilize it.

4 Yes, without SAT cable, you cannot watch live, but when you click the TV button it will still list down all channel, click the channel you want (hold it slightly longer to bring up the side panel), there is few option display, watch from start, watch life, show info and etc... I cannot really remember. So just click watch from start will do.

So including your main unit, total of decoder you have will be 4.

It means your superpack 3 you subscribe additional add-on minis lo.... Depend on your situation, might as well get the superpack 3 plus

Are you able to pair successfully following the instruction. I mean do you see the green flash twice?
Kind of strange that the remote is working on your ultrabox but not able to control TV if pairing is successful.

Usually if remote spoilt, everything goes...

By the way, there is a RM10 movie pack penalty off my bill. Anybody have the same thing in his/her bill? What penalty is it for?

But Fox Network is already purchase by Disney... so it is just time before the consolidate everything into one. I can understand that there is no replacement for the channel as these channel will be integrated into Disney+ but I think a subscription discount should be applicable.

The DTH (Satellite mode) currently only have 1 UHD channel which is 780 on football.
If you want to watch/rent other 4k movies, you have to connect to the internet.

After sometimes, I think astro will either remove these free SD channel or provide the HD channel for free.

Yes. There is very limited free 4k content.
Currently I think there is the "Back 2 the futures" trilogy, gladiator and some others.

I think the new Ultra box does not support Pioneer TV setting anymore.
Last time Beyond Decoder, it is still supported.
