1. If u wanna try something new and you like Ultra Box very much, and also would love to enjoy Astro UHD channel 780, then sure why not?
As long you are confident that the Celcom 4G network is fast and stable in you area, then go ahead.
2. It is a bundled Astro package that comes with fibre broadband. In the long run, you can save a lot, since it's like combining both Astro and Maxis Fibre services in one Astro bill.
You can forget about this, since your area don't have fibre.
Or, if your area has Unifi Lite (VDSL) coverage, then maximum package you can go is 30Mbps.
3. If you ask Astro, of course their answer is yes.
If you ask me, my answer is "It depends."
4. Those ports are useless for now. It is reserved for future use.
Recording to external storage via USB is not made available to Ultra Box customers yet. For now, Ultra Box will be 100% rely on cloud recording to access to your recordings.
You are advised not to trust blindly by whatever the sales person convinces you. They just want your commission and hit their KPI.
Please do your research before deciding to upgrade to Ultra Box.
To access to your recordings, stream On Demand content, Play from Start, it is highly dependent on Internet connection. Hence, if your Ultra Box is not connected to Internet, the functions will be the same as the usual Astro HD box. Press channel numbers only, and nothing else.
Oh yea, you can still watch Astro UHD ch780. That's the difference.
I've been getting these emails from Astro offering free upgrade. Initially thought we can just plug in a HDD and use it as usual but it wasn't the case. They should have provided the HDD as a failsafe but yea its too late. I'm seeing the end of UltraBox just as soon as how Astro Max ended.
