Does the EDID function works well too?
On Ultra Box, set the resolution as 2160p, but in the hdmi splitter, set it into 1080p....
*
Can’t confirm with you on that. When I switch astro ultra box to 2160p, every possible EDID switch mode tested – none worked. The splitter works to bypass hdcp 2.2 thats all.

Woahhh that's new to me shocking.gif shocking.gif
No matter how long it is, just let it update, even if you have to let it on overnight.

hazim96Once the software update is done, do show us a photo of your STB Diagnostics (home>Settings>STB Diagnostics) biggrin.gif

Ugh, still the same Evo software sad.gif I almost thought PVR box users get to auto upgrade to the newer Ultraview software, turns out I'm wrong sweat.gif

3 Dec 2020 hmm.gif Seems to me it's just bug fixes? Maybe try browse around On Demand library and stream some shows there, and see if there's any difference, although I don't think there will be any obvious changes la sweat.gif But try and observe first...

Anyway, thanks for sharing this info to us thumbsup.gif

Installation Fee RM49 if your existing Astro monthly subscription fee is <RM100 per month, plus a new 24 months contract or prorated RM600 for early termination (equiv. RM25 x 24 months).

Pretty much all of the above, has all the info you need to know about Ulti Box.

Well, turns out I'm not the only one that feels that way, on why Astro name it as "Ulti Box":

I just noticed that the ghosting or blurry effect is now disappeared and On Demand loading time has been reduced.

I will try to monitor again later.

All right thumbup.gif

So far if I'm not mistaken, only jhlou mentioned that he got his Ulti Box (Connected HD box) during the beta programme last year, but went silent afterwards sweat.gif

Surprise. Installer came early today to install instead of saturday. According to installer, I am the third person to install ulti box in Melaka. Upgrading from dmt4 box. The new box is small and compact. Using standard sim size instead of old full sized card. Sim card is friction based (no spring loaded), and half of the card is sticking out of the box. Lan is 100Mbps, wifi ac, and include bluetooth functionality (for?) according to manual. Model is KSTB6112, kaonmedia, manufactured in indo. Come in brown box. Remote feels clicky, instead of the old rubbery feel. No 4K as expected. Overall feel smooth, never use ultra box before, so unable to compare. All photos in spoiler.

I'd say the settings ui is a bit counterintuitive (read not in the place that you'd expect), but overall it's ok.

Hi.
I'm not sure what to review as my old folks watch them more often
But I'm happy for the Vod feature. And the time shift.
If I am to guess, it should be the cut cost version of ultra box with similar features.

Oh they sent me another remote control for dunno what reason by parcel.

Ulti box remote control look more like android tv remote coz the home, back and three dot button is placed together in a line
Maybe they prepared early for android tv software, right
