Just found out about Eurosport's cancellation. That channel is literally the only reason I'm subscribed to Sooka. Now to find new source for my cycling fix.

Last chance.

Still remembered when megatv newly introduced, my dad subscribed for just a month then terminate the subscription due to the signal not that good at my place 🤭
*
It was cable TV right? How exactly did they transmit the signal—was it through an antenna like the tulang ikan?

Be like me, use Satellite so you won't see this message biggrin.gif
...unless if you use their Internet-required services like On Demand, Play from Start, Live Pause or watch your recordings via My Library, then it's a different story.

If given a choice, would you want to watch Astro via satellite dish, rather than Plug & Play?
*
To avoid this unusual case, my Plug & Play status for Satellite is now pending. The Astro agent mentioned it should be activated within 48 to 72 hours.

Of course, this comes with a 24-month recontract. He also assured me that the ongoing RM15 rebate will continue as scheduled without any changes.

Starting today, Zee TV channels on Astro have introduced their new logo identity. Channels 223 and 251 are now simply renamed to Z Tamil and Z Cinema, respectively.

The rebranding also extends to their streaming app — ZEE5 is now known as Z5.

Almost 72 hours later.

My Ultra Box is now a hybrid, allowing me to choose between Satellite and plug-and-play options. The contract has been extended until June 10, 2027.

----

In other news, Prime Video is now available as an add-on, initially accessible through the Astro's Ultra & Ulti Boxes when opening the Prime Video app. You'll be notified that your free 2-month access is about to expire, with options to either continue subscribing for RM25/mth or cancel.

Prime Video will soon be listed as an app add-on through the My Astro app/portal.

Does anyone know whether the Prime Video subscription  under Astro movies package comes with 4K or only FullHD like Disney+Hotstar? Tx
*
Yes. Prime Video offers 4K streaming, no plan upgrade required.

But, it only streams in FHD 1080p on Astro Ultra Box due to technical limitations.

Before you tell Astro agent to change your account tagging from Plug & Play to Satellite, your house already have satellite dish that is previously installed, is it?

Did you go through all these steps? Or you went through somewhat different process than this?:
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry111492990

Astro installer did not come to your house to do any settings configuration whatsoever, correct?
*
Yes.

I did reset the Ultra Box to factory settings, and choosing Satellite on first startup boot.

And no technical visit. I just did self plug-in the satellite cable. And voila, it’s fully operational in Satellite mode.

Hi, I just got sooka tv stick.
When I off the tv stick power the remote light keep blinking.
Do we need to keep the stick power on all the time to stop the blinking?
*
It shouldn’t be a problem to turn off the device in standby mode. But were you turned off from power source or just the TV stick?

Noticed that Eurosport is no longer on Astro (I discovered this one week too late). So... where to watch cycling (especially with Tour de France next month) ? Warner Bros Discovery streaming platform already available here?

Astro Sports Plus covers them. Go to Ch 817 now.

I’m currently enjoying Prime Video for “free” with my Primary Pack subscription.

Last month, I added Prime Video from My Astro’s Ultra Box during the free two-month trial. When I launched Prime Video, a pop-up appeared asking whether I wanted to link the app directly to my account or continue using it until the trial ended.

I decided to go ahead and link it. The best part? When my June bill arrived, the Prime Video add-on wasn’t listed at all.

To my surprise, Prime Video has remained accessible without interruption ever since.

The 2 month access actually starts from the day you activate. So if you activated Prime Video last month June, then your 2 month access will become inaccessible on August. Get what I mean?

So nothing to be surprised here 🤭
*
I activated Prime Video when the 2-month free trial began on April 24.

I checked the app on Ultra Box on June 10, and that’s when I saw a pop-up asking if I wanted to add it for RM25 to my account or just continue with the free access until it ended on June 23.

It’s all good—I’ll verify things again once my July bill comes in.
