Eh no. He was asking about SPOTV Now app. From what we have seen, any apps that are given by access by Astro are available on the Astro Ultra box. This includes Netflix, Hotstar, BEIN Connect, ETC. All of these have apps that are for Smart TV. These apps are usually conversion of their Android TV app, or in the case of Hotstar, made from the ground up for Astro, but still based on their TV app.

But for SPOTV Now, they only have a smart phone app, and no TV Apps. Which is why it's unlikely for Astro to give an SPOTV Now access link

I presume this is due to Viu app is only now available on the Ultrabox.

They can't give out Lionsgate the same reason they are not giving out SpoTV Now. They are only giving out logins for apps that are available for the Ultrabox. Currently those are only

That some reason is Astro wants to tie down Smart TV users to just a single location, so they are actively blocking it from being installed on specific, portable devices.
Funnily enough some newer portable devices do have the ability to have Sooka installed through the Play Store since they are too new to be in the block list by Astro at this point in time.

Do you have a discount of any kind when you renew your contract? Mine had a discount on Sports Package, and since it shows on my bill when the discount will end, I know my conctract ends the same date as that.

I tested my Astro go. Looks 720p to me. Kinda similar quality to Bein, but Bein is around 5 seconds faster

But IIRC the box itself would only be in HDCP 2.2 mode if you set it to 4K. It will fall back to HDCP 1.X if you set it to 1080p. So a normal 1080p TV should be able to work with the box.
The people who have issues are the ones that has 4K TV's but HDCP lower than 2.2, which means they can't use the 4K capabilities of the box. If you are just using it for 1080p, then it should be fine

When you first set up the box, you are given the choice to set it to ouput either 1080p or 4K. Choose 1080p and the box won't look for HDCP 2.2. I know because I used a non 4K TV with HDCP 1.4 to first set up the box at my office when it first arrived.

Well the question was could the user use the ultrabox with a non 4K, non HDCP2.2 TV, which the answer is yes. Since the said person is using a non 4K TV, one would assume he won't actually be trying to watch a 4K channel.

IIRC, they have a blacklist that they would update on the play store which allow/disallow which devices can access it from the play store. So once they update the app version, you will find that you can't update it from the play store and the app breaks.

It's a simple solution since it does not really need much configuration.

It's not about that. Multiroom technically means that it's your 2nd astro in your house. They just don't want people to install it on a portable device and then lend it to someone else.

IIRC Sky also has the same limitations in the UK as well, since I've read similar thread to us in Reddit about getting the Sky app to work in Chromecast

Yeah, the one that I paid to install mine told me he also would do work for Astro.

Also aligning is not hard to be honest. If you live in a place where there are a number of Astro users, you can use their dish as your guide on where to point. We did this at a friend's house since he didn't feel like paying an installer after he moved.
