How to record to external hardisk directly from PVR box?

Not just minus 4K... Cloud recording, streaming from On Demand and others.
For the older software on PVR box, you'll need to download the show to the hard disk to watch content from On Demand.

On Ultra Box, there's no download option, and you can straight away watch it right after you select the programme.

I just had my ultra box install yesterday.

I can see at the back there is a USB 3.0 port just for the external hard disk.

And I can also see the LOCAL STORAGE ONLY / CLOUD STORAGE ONLY options in the setting menu. If I select LOCAL STORAGE ONLY, will I get back instant pause/rewind function?

For the astro ultra box.

I also noticed there is a microsd card slot next to the SIM card slot.

I am hoping maybe in the future, microsd card is use for buffering the live TV show for instant pause/rewind feature, but full recorded is stored on the CLOUD storage.

No censorship is even better for me 😅👍

I thought the new Ultra box is a satelite + internet hybrid, means we can still watch Astro without the internet? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, so that's what happen if Astro caught a customer using a residential Astro account in business/commercial premises like hotel, restaurant/mamak, all those.

Residential account, means the normal Astro account like you all have, not the business type where it can costs RM100++ to RM1000++ per month alone.
Monthly fees for business account are very expensive, and channels are very limited too. Of cos lo, business account for commercial purposes mah... Not meant for private home viewing...

I do come across public places where they use residential Astro account on its Astro TV service instead of the business account.
Of cos I won't tell here which are the exact places, cuz obviously they wanna save monthly cost lol.

Usually if no one complain to Astro, then should be no problem I think...
It's like, if someone complain or persons working in Astro realise it (especially by watching Astro on that TV set that displays it publicly), then they might give out notice like this to that premise.

Hi guys. Is it just me or we can no longer use timeshift (pause/play) function for live feed ? My remote control working fine still using pvr decoder and not going to upgrade to ultra.

No pop-up message. Just wont do anything (nothing happen), i can see the decoder receiving the remote signal (blinking led).

Btw is Astro AOD catch up channels available to watch on Astro Go?
For your Astro IPTV account, does the channel 351-363 appear on Astro Go? Are you able to watch it?
Or only Astro AOD HD 350 appear on Astro Go?

For Astro,
Since they have a "strong customer base of 5.7 million", why not make some "extra pocket money", on top of customer's monthly subscription?     

While Astro have to rely to kampung people which have no fiber internet connection.

the new unifiplus black box can be used on any wifi.

but it still unclear if the bit rate is still low (2-3mbps) like the old unifiplaytv app which also can be used on many 3rd party devices/boxes, any wifi.

if same quality, it's of little use since that black box is priced at rm240 whereas u can get a cheaper/better 3rd party box to do same.

comparing unifi playtv with astrogo, astrogo hd quality much better.

As you can see, majority of the viewers of tvN Movies, as well as other Korean channels are Malay audiences. So Korean channels is really a good selling point among them.    
And as for the audience's age, and other details.. Well, just refer to the channel profile shown above.

However, I wanna remind you guys that...

Out of the 5.7 million customers, there are 63% (3.6 mil) out of of all Astro customers are Malay.

Don't get me wrong ah.. I have no intention of being racist or racial supremacy here...
