Just tried pay at Tesco using Gear.
Gear synched with phone.
Transaction captured and points awarded.

Next, tried at Watson using phone.
Gear still synched.
Transactions captured, points awarded and notification pushed to Gear.

lazy to tell them ... just never return anymore.

The worst I been to was laat weekend at Pie Harbour Gurney Plaza.
The CC machine is meant for deco.
Tried to pay using Wave with physical card. Failed.
Then, asked to use PIN. Also failed.
Ended paid with cash!

What if gear without phone? Sync 10 mins later.

No chance to try.

Sync with phone sure work. But the big question is use watch without phone then sync later.

Used it in South Korea. Phone has data enabled. Interesting POS system in Korea. Even if you don't find a credit card machine like what we have here, don't assume spay can't be used. The cashier tapped my phone at the side of the screen panel for spay payment. Most shops, even small little food shop can pay using samsung pay. Convenience store like 7-11 and other local convenience store accept spay too. You basically don't need to carry a lot of cash when you travel to Korea. What can I say, it's the place of origin of spay.

This kind of panel should be able to see at some Starbucks branches.
You tap once on the CC machine and another time on the panel near to the cash register panel.

Ya...something like those panel except that in Korea, we don't tap on a credit card machine at all, we just tap on the panel for payment. Hardly find a credit card machine around. Very advance!

Just tried pay using SPay at Sushi Zento, Festival Walk, Ipoh

initially the cashier told me that it is not allowed as they need physical card to swipe at their cashier machine (cashier's register) to capture the card information (double swipe)

I explained to the captain that their cashier machine (cashier's register) can capture card info from SPay. He was kind enough to let me try, and then he "jaw dropped" once he found out that SPay can be "swiped" at the cashier machine. then he talked to his staff, after this allow customer to use SPay.

p/s: can't forget his jaw dropped expression... haha..

ya, i tapped at the magnetic stripe input of the cashier machine (actually this is considered as double swipe already)
once the cashier machine captured my card info, then only i proceeded to use SPay via NFC by tapping at the credit card terminal

i just tried my luck coz at Sushi Zento, paying at HLB card entitles 10% off total bill. today i forgot to bring my HLB card out. so i just ask the captain to let me try SPay with HLB card so that I can get the 10% off

Yes i been doing that. Now imagine pay with gear s3. His jaw will drop till on the floor.

too bad i managed to redeem gear sport, not gear s3.. i can't do that with gear sport coz gear sport only has NFC, no MST

Hi ipoh mali there. dah lah, Ipoh too many non-tech savvy cashier/employee or even their employer.

your situation same like I went to Valentino Cafe in town, when I saw the CC machine with NFC logo, then I say I pay by Samsung Pay, they all first reaction was like Hell no way impossible, we not enroll into Samsung Pay or Programme blabla.. But judging from all of them holding non-Samsung Phone and iPhone, I decide to forgive them and tell them, why not u just turn on the CC terminal and let me tap, if the receipt can't come out, I pay by cash. Voila, receipt came out, all jaw dropping. (4 person there)
