Spay out of 'idea', keep offering starbucks card
New item RM50 4000pts

Normal... like all things, it will come to an end. It is only natural that it ends.

Still use it whenever I can. Much better than needing to take out wallet. Unless showing the physical card gives extra discount from the merchant.

SPay not even celebrating Xmas with fascinating redemption...
*
This years Christmas feels shadowed by the close proximity of CNY only being 1 month apart. There are more CNY items being on sale in the hypermarket's than Christmas items.

Seem like SPay is telling it's user that Christmas this year has been cancelled 1😂🤣

Can't use for online payments yet, maybe expect for Samsung Galaxy Store purchases. They did mention to implement the online payment feature for the future, but didn't specify when exactly.

You are absolutely right Bro. Just didn't expect their life cycle to he this short. SPay has so much potential yet waiting to be materialized.

Indeed the convenience of paying for parking as more and more car park operators have gone cashless.

You parked for the whole day kah Bro, since your parking fees so high 😅

Just like petrol kiosk, the RM20 is just "deposit" which will be "replaced" by actual deduction on the Credit Card statement a few days later... So don't be alarmed to see the "deposit" figure in the SPay app...

As above, Touch'NGo e-Wallet is my number 1 cashless service "at the moment"... Paired with ShopBack cashback for every RM10 topups...

With average 10% instant cashback, it's hard to resist from stopping using Touch'NGo e-Wallet service:

Unfortunately for them, the emergence of e-wallet has failed their plan. e-wallet providers are willing to splash cash and lose money in order to conquer the market. However, I suspect it will dried up pretty soon in 2-3 years time. Even wechat is adapting a wait and see approach. Once these e-wallet runs out of cash to splash, everything will return to normal.

Most uncool way is to use boost...

honestly to me acceptability is the utmost importance, then only the points, rewards & cashback etc.
what is the use of 100% or even 200% cashback if the shop do not accept that particular e-wallet ?

this is where e-wallet lose out big time albeit getting better but still far too big of a gap compared to visa/master backed apps unless they can regulate like china.
this is why my top 2 choice is Spay & bigpay, that also rarely use bigpay cause you must first have credit inside.

This is what happens when either the supervisor and/or staff of that store isn't interested in these kinds of ewallet stuff, thinking that "pay using cashis so much easier, ewallet is like extra lebih stuff", so they won't go and focus much on teaching/guiding the staffs on what and how to do when customer wants to pay using ewallet.

Of cos. This doesn't happen everywhere.
Like what PJng said, it depends on staff.

Roger. Noted that it is actually the deposit and not the total payment. Glad that you mentioned, so at least I am aware in the near future.

Wah! That RM3 cashback for a RM10 reload from using Shopback is awesome. I bought so many small items from Lazada and Shopee also don't give me RM3 cashback. I have taken note to launch Shopback everytime I want to reload the TnGO e-wallet from now onwards.

Thank you sharing the valuable cashback and e-wallet promotion information as always Bro. Peace be upon you 👍✌

It's still not too late for SPay to do something and turn things around for them. It's just a matter if our market is worth conquering since it is rather small and the returns might not be so favorable to them, hence why I feel like they are throwing in the towel.

I am surprised that Boost e-wallet made a come back after their promotions slowed down drastically after their all out campaign period, and not to mention they have been selected by the government as the top 3 popular e-wallet besides TnGO and Grab Pay.

Kesian pak guard. This kind of situation could have been adverted and avoided if the store went cashless instead of stockpiling cash in their register.
