new spay user here.. just got myself a samsung phone last 2 weeks... saw you guys using spay at petrol station.. would like to know how to use it to pump petrol at the pump there?
and which petrol station does accept it.. thanks

At automated dispenser: BHP & Caltex
At over-the-counter: Petronas

All the petrol stations that accept card payment can use SPay, either at the counter or terminal pump itself if the terminal support payWave.

Use it as a card, just wave it at the terminal. Im using at BHP, Caltex n Petronas also accept i think.

Most petrol station have 2 payment method 1 at kiosk another at cashier the difference is kiosk machine will hold rm200 each transaction while counter you can request the amount and only charge you the amount you request.

My experience BHP extremely fast and failure rate 0%
Caltex some station dont support spay and often set limit at cashier
Petronas at cashier very slow due to unorganized staff at counter

So i only pump bhp problem free

To be warn sometimes it dont work or the staff wont let u use because samsung pay is surprisingly new

ya.. it failed the first time.. then the cashier asks for retry...

Usually if u asked them can wave, if YES u can use SPay but sometimes can wave but can't SPay such as Padini. They said the terminal not updated for SPay. 1st time usually will nervous but later on u can teach them to use it to wave

Some places insist for physical card even though they accept/support Wave.

Yea once u visit often like bhp once they see me they will ask me how much and immediately let me tap.

Some place will ask foe your physical card i tell them i didnt bring.

Just try a patronas, staff say there system not yet update with this offer

just went nearby petronas, minimum RM20 to wave

just email to mesralink@petronas.com and file a complaint. their customer service will do the needful.
I complained on this matter before, now no more minimum spending for that station.

Someone shared bhp pump terminal now support visa paywave. So I went and tried spay but rejected.

which location? puchong one is OK..some terminal need u to try 1-2 times then only can work.

That is not possible. Ever since BHP support visa, I have been using Samsung Pay to wave from the kiosk terminal to pay and it has never failed me. Just be patient and try again.

Yes, they have the visa logo there. What's the error message? Could it be by any chance you have reached the spay limit? Kiosk will hold RM200 (some kiosk RM250). Maybe try again another time.
