Which cc are you having issue with?

I will only encounter this issue when it reaches my debit/credit card contactless transaction limit. Example I'm using Public Bank debit card for my Samsung Pay, and their limit is 9 times. I need to use PIN to reset the contactless transactions threshold limit.

If you don't want your Samsung Pay transaction to fail like this, I recommend you guys to use Maybank MAE (it will only fail when there's insufficient credit). Its easy to sign up, and you can get to use Maybank VISA card number within minutes of sign up. So just use that Visa card and add card into Samsung Pay, and since then, I make Samsung Pay transactions won't get rejected unless I have insufficient balance on Maybank MAE, and I never use my existing Public Bank debit card for Samsung Pay anymore cuz I don't want transaction to fail and I don't want to bother that contactless transaction limit. But each transaction is limited to RM250 only.

Even a day spend RM800 with 5 trans did not fail

Citibank, last success usage with Samsung Pay was 5 days ago at same McD outlet but different counter (according on the receipt).

it is not transaction limit issue. I supposed no virtual card provided for Maybank MAE users right?

from my understanding do not honour means bank blocking your transaction due to cashless limit or transaction limit or credit limit

Is it always McD that gives you this problem? I don't have an answer for this actually (was hoping you said different cc other than Citi, really. LOL) Have you tried to remove your Citi CC from SPay and add them back in?

definitely not limit issue as the card usage is very low and reset with PIN once a week at self-service petrol pump (unless using it at self-service petrol pump is not consider reset?)

problem always happen at McD since it is a SPay friendly place to use, been using it at other places and less encounter the issue.
Suspect the culprit is the bank - Citibank? as others mentioned MBB have higher success rate where few years back MBB was my main card too with low failure rate?
I supposed nothing to do by re-adding the card whereby there are success prior re-adding.

There is virtual Visa card will be provided to Maybank MAE users.

So you just use this virtual debit card number, as well as CVV, and "Add Card" to your Samsung Pay.
Amount will deduct according to the remaining balance on your Maybank MAE.
No contactless transaction limits or whatsoever, and it never get rejected unless insufficient balance, or their terminal problem.
It's simple as that.

First time...
Went to BHP, use the counter terminal for SPay, 2 times, failed...
(Used the machine before, and most of the time it'll fail... i donno why)
Try inside first, don't want RM200 deduction XD
But then, I retry by tapping on the side, but this time, it asked for my Security Code.
Not sure if it ask for CVV or PIN. But I put my CVV and the transaction went through...
