Hi, x70 lately takea more than one second to Crank start the engine. Could this due to starter having issue?

Do you mean 1 second for cranking to start, or 1 second to start the engine?

Suggest go SC and check which part rosak. If the price is ok proceed, if expansive, go outside and replace the malfunction part

The moment i click pust start the engine in one go.. It takes like 2-3 seconds to start the engine. Before that didn't notice to have this issue.

need help
my x70 driver side car door have been giving out annoiying noise when on bumpy road
the sound is like rubbing runner or popping sound

i able to reproduce the sound by quickly turn left and right

i suspect is the door shaking causing the sound

i put some sponge tape on the door rubber seal and it reduce the sound alot but stiill not fully fix
i did go to service center and they adjust my door to lock it tightly then 95% of the sound gone but occasionally still able to hear it however the door losen after few weeks now the sound back

anyone else facing the same issue and have a solution to fix it?

new car, just less than 5 months and issue start after 1 month out frrom factory

check batt load stress test - if batt checks out good, then the problem lies at the starter motor or related mechanical parts

do update us if the issues are repaired. how and where and cost.

Suggest go to car paint, accident repair shop cz they got more experience worker in this type of problem than SC

This is the current battery health, changed Oct 2023.

Looks like need to send the car back to sc for checking. Not sure if starter is giving way soon.

might be issue with the worn high pressure fuel pump. check the pressure or bleed the air out.

X70 premium ckd 2020 car in good condition now valuation maximum only rm61k... Mileage 37k only. Insurance min is rm81k.

Just did battery and tyre change this year. Original battery lasted me 1.5 years before I change just to be safe. Changed to Amaron 75/26 (higher power specs) but only lasted me 2 years. To be fair I changed because battery voltage range between 13v to 13.5v. Used to be 13.9 to 14.2v.

Even though I plan to drive this car maybe 1 to 2 years more, I don't recommend people getting this car. Mine is 1.8 turbo with 4 cylinders. I find x70 eats quite a lot of battery and fuel, not sure if others experience the same as me?


Lately when my car is idle (brake) I can feel the engine go vroom vroom to near 2 rpm in the meter, plan to have it fixed in the next service. Anyone having the same issue?

based on my reading, this car use smart alternator type, hence it move from 13.0v - 14.2v on the meter of the car. This car is battery eat if u dont lock the car, it keep draining the battery, hence it make battery life suffer more. I choose Camel 90D26L with much higher CCA rating vs stock, 85D26L, 740CCA vs 660CCA. On top, I did use Foxsur Battery charger bought from shopee, DIY charge it once a month since new, with I open up the Positive and Negative battery cables b4 put the Foxsur charger. The original battery of Camel 85D26L with blue colour last me 3 years 4 months, Merdeka 2020 to Dec 2023. Now with 90D26L with more CCA, by theory i will last longer hopefully. After 1 year 6 months on this, with charger practice, the SC noted the battery life (based on CCA) is at 98%

For the FC, it is acceptable if u drove sedately and max at 140kmh for long distance. Push it more than 140kmh, in my case at 160-170kmh, it drank much2 more than my other car with 2.4NA at similar speed. Cons that I cant understand is the inaccurate fuel indicator of L/100km of the meter, if compared to manual calculation, it lari more. In this case, my Accord fuel indicator km/l, range are more accurate vs manual calculation.
