Anyone know the correct channel to make a complain with Proton HQ?Just 1 year 4 months my CKD unit gearbox failed. Gear stuck and not shift properly. I was told by SC that a part is broken ( Forgot about the part name ) and they have the sparepart ready. They promised will fixed it in 1 day after they got the approval from Proton HQ but it already a week now they still haven't get the approval. Is it the normal process where they need the approval from Proton HQ before they replace a part? Car is still under warranty and I did not missed any of the scheduled maintenance.

Yes that normal for all brand. They need HQ for parts approval. Based on own experience, Honda Malaysia need 2-3 weeks for parts approval/ ready at SC. Proton need 3-4 weeks for my parts last time (brake rotor). So that normal

Last full tank: 401.3 km, 44.57litres
9km/l for mixed driving, 50 city 50 highway. City driving is 70% suburban driving 30% stop go traffic.

Time for walnut blasting?

Based on meter or manual calculation? Best I got around 11.5km/l manual calculated. Current mileage just around 52k km and only look at walnut when hit 80k km

Manual la of course. Best I ever got was 12km/l, full highway to terengganu.

Heading KT last time from Kajang, sleepy when hold around 120-130kmh at the LPT highway. Need 150-160 then only able to prevent sleepiness

erm guys, the usb port for dashcam couldnt supply enough power for my ddpai dashcam lol. anyway to solve this i dont feel like pulling another cable all the way to the usb port on the center console ehh

ive handled a few x70 trade in units and all suffered similar failure on the rubber/ seals

Worse is Proton call this wear and tear. I'm like wtf man I buy 30k Proton Saga also no this kind of issue.

i guess some of the weather stripping wasnt adapted to our local climate

Not adapting to climate is a very poor excuse though. Proton went to Sweden to test Iriz and Exora in the winter when they were developing it when arguably winter its not their main market, Geely can't do that? Seriously show that Geely take a lot of shortcuts during development, even local Proton dont cut corners for 50k car.

yes but then proton was bleeding non stop during drb's ownership lol so i guess all those extra testing consumed quite abit more fund and geely just decided to skip all of that as long as the company makes profit

IIRC Proton developed Iriz and Exora CFE Turbo under Dato Syed Zainal time, they were very frugal and careful during that time. Iriz only cost 500 million to develop which is damn cheap considering other car like Hyundai cost billions to develop. Cut costs also cannot cut in some areas la otherwise like this happen lo, 4 year old car but the rubber deteriorate like 50 year old car.

I own Iriz 1.6 Premium unit. Bought used back in 2019 cz offer. Not sure to stated but that car just annoying for built quality.

1st batch Punch CVT gb will roar like diesel engine once push 50% pedal, no improvement can be made to old car example TCU software update etc, proton wont entertain. HU low junk quality, display will out heading 4th year onward, that not include the slow as f for the running system, 1gb ram? WTH did Proton do during testing? All the button feel cheap like they don't know to work it out during design/testing?

Using Campro based engine, city drive getting me 9.5-11L/100km based on meter, that even with CVT. Again why the choose this junk brand no idea, drove 120kmh give high rpm not like others CVT.

Back to X70, I think i read somewhere in fb group he changed all the rubber at outside workshop for few hundred

Happening to most CBU continental car, especially Audi. Change the rubber every 3 years to make it ok

today woke up and noticed protonLINK sent me a few warning notices that my car had left the preset radius compound.
I was in shock and rushed down to my car park and found my car was still there.

relief and shock!!!

Proton Link not working for me especially lock/unlock via apps. I use Atlas Auto only working normally

anyone encounter error:
ldw and ihbc temporarily disabled

it happen the 3rd time and sometimes after a day or 2, it just go away
this error causing me unable to switch other display
