QUOTE(gerald7 @ Jun 22 2018, 12:14 PM)
my friend said go apply go apply. so i did, now I have 3 sims w/ me. which I dont really need.

According to the website since I pickup, its activated and valid for 90 days (3 months). isit free the speed is slower (depends on which band you're on, band 5 the slowest 10Mbps but wide coverage)?  if we purchase add on how long would the validity be (infinite, as long as you do make calls/sms/ use data; 90 days validity will refresh)?

realistically ill be using only 1 of the sim... what will happen to the other 2 once they expire, if in future I want to use the service.... can i reactivate the prev no (after 90 days will be recycled)... or can i port in my other no to unifi plan since i have already used up my 3 sim per ID (ASK tm: here)

Anyone can help with below queries? Please and thank you.

1. I want to download a 100 GB game from Steam (Sale now). Thinking to get the 1 day unlimited data assuming my area have coverage. Can I use unifi mobile for this or will they throttle speed? Am prepared that might need 2 or 3 days to download 100 GB.

2. My PC desktop can't connect to wireless, only Ethernet. Should I get one of the MiFi devices listed on 1st page or is there bare minimum device that can allow me connect unifi mobile to my PC? If there is, appreciate if can also recommend brand/model, where to buy and estimated price. I'm clueless what technology we have today.

Yes, throttled to 10Mbps if you read the thread

You don't need to if you have smartphone to do wifi hotspot provided that the phone support 4G+ with band 38 & 40

10 Mbps should do alright - hopefully actual speed is as advertised. biggrin.gif

I can't use hotspot since my PC cannot connect to wireless network. Only can connect through Ethernet/LAN cable. But you remind me - maybe I can use USB tethering..although I don't know if USB tethering speed lagi slow or not.

Meaning this TnC is better than previous one right?

No matter what you do (call/internet/SMS) it is considered as outgoing transaction.

yes, better in this description.

1. with unifi 1 day unlimited, the speed is 10Mbps which means you need 22hours 45min 20sec to finish download 100GB, it is risky as the speed is not constant at 10Mbps, therefore i suggest you to get weekly instead of daily. or u might consider to get digi infinite 150 and use the average speed of 30-50Mbps to download the 100GB and cancel straight after that. they will refund back to you the balance since there is no contract tie to that. RM150/30 = RM5 or you subscribe on month with 31 days will be less than RM5 for 1 day.

2. If you phone got LTE just use your phone and usb to your PC. Getting a mifi might need time to search and buy and additional cost since you are looking for short term high volume internet.

You can't subscribe Digi Infinite 150 for only 2 day. On the day of subscribing, you need to pay RM300 advanced fee which will be used to offset the first and second month bills.
Think what, if you terminated it before two months, your advanced payment get forfeited.
BTW, NOT ALL PLACES could get average speed of 30-50mbps, it could get as low as 1mbps which is worst than Shitmix.

no, they can't forfeit, they already mentioned is not tie to any contract and the advance payment can be refunded. if you don't like the speed, you can cancel it within the same day as well.

It's the other way round. Free data, the speed is faster. They want you to finish fast so that you will buy their add-on.

It seems like you're on your first day of using Digi, or maybe you're not using Digi?
Please read the TnC on Digi website.

3.4 In the event of termination of this Agreement either by the Customer or by Digi, all monies owing to Digi shall become immediately due and payable and Digi shall be entitled to offset the Deposit or the Advance Payment paid by the Customer against any amount owing to Digi.

If a Customer prematurely terminates his monthly instalment scheme, all his remaining payment will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
Digi deserves the right to forfeit/not refund the remaining payment credit to the Customer if the Customer fails to promptly pay all Monthly Charges and Monthly Fees as imposed by Digi.

BTW, it's not only the i150, it's for all postpaid plan.

i'm using digi infinite 150 la...
previously getting two account and terminate one after few days due to my relative there line not good.
this is not the normal digi postpaid you deal with, it is no contract at all.
the statement you deal with got monthly installment scheme on phone contract.
this is advance payment, not compulsory payment.
anyway i have get back the refund for 3 days pro rated and balance all refund to me.
