OK, got my contact in Digi to check. She checked with CS team and confirmed there are two types of voicemails. doh.gif This has been highlighted to product team and hopefully they will turn off both. doh.gif

Anyway, can use USSD code to disable it: *128*6*2*8#
Option 5 which is VMS Roaming On (if it is not disabled), then disable it. I tried to do it and I still haven't received confirmation that it is done.

Better check this before you go overseas and call CS to disable it if it is urgent.

I don't seem to see an option 6, after *128. Do you happen to have the menu, to do it step-by-step? smile.gif

This seems to work for me, received an SMS:

Your voice mail service roaming status is successfully changed.

Sorry. Mistake above should be "*128# > Digi Rewards & Services > Voicemail > Other Setup > VMS Roaming Off"

Still getting error, getting my Digi contact to check.

How about the steps that ming86 has given above?

Could yours be the postpaid steps, as they look different from the ones we've used?

Yes, mine is postpaid and my contact has checked for me the reason why I kept getting error because both my numbers are already having both domestic and roaming voicemails deactivated long time ago.

Good for you! rclxms.gif

So the above sets of steps, I guess one is for postpaid and the other is for prepaid. smile.gif

Thanks.

Call Digi to report, then make a report with MCMC. Those few time I tried to get refund for charges which I do not use, it is successful.

Thanks to fellow Lowyat forumers on your suggestions.

I got on the MyDigi app and performed a Livechat on the issue. The chat representative was helpful and attended to my request to 1. Terminate the subscription 2. Refund RM4

The magic was that the same instant I got the SMS on Digi case number, SMS 20000 send me 2 SMS, one on subscription termination and one on RM4 refund. Although I shouldn't complain on instant resolution on this matter, I am truly amazed by it.

I browsed the Digi community site and notice that this problem existed for years. It's just a shame that Malaysians are still plagued by these type of 3rd party bad business practice that fellow Malaysians have to spend time and effort to fight for their own consumer rights. I look forward to MCMC implementing a blanket ban on these type of practice!

Or is this a DiGi underhanded tactics of charging thru unsolicited SMSes...? I’ve never encountered this on other telcos before...

Anyway, I’ll be ditching DiGi as soon as my credit runs out... Just far too many problems for me...
