I guess the AI need to include more fruit selection & algorithm to distinguish between a star, a fruit or a greenery scenario. Guess the AI is confused with the star+fruit object  biggrin.gif

Haha, yeah, it was hilarious! My wife and I kept laughing while the phone was focusing and the AI kept switching smile.gif

The other was trying to snap a pic of my 3 years old daughter and the AI was detecting her as 'pet'  sweat.gif Guess she's small and keeps moving while taking the picture  laugh.gif

Hahaha... well your daughter is cute so maybe that confuses the AI too laugh.gif

your daughter must be super cute la hahaha...

when i first got my phone, i point it at my aquarium, the AI viewed the aquatic plants as food, i got a good laugh.

because i keep shrimps, the AI says it is food too. maybe looks too yummy for the AI. lol!

but i like the "text" and "scan" detection, it sharpen the words which is very good.

I have problem to backup my apps using Huawei Backup. When I connect my phone to the laptop, it will prompt "an app is obscuring a permission request..." on the phone and it cannot connect to the HiSuite. Tried to check possible settings but still no luck. Anything else should I checked?

Check apps that you currently install...some apps prevent the connection

if you point the camera AI to grass and clear sky, it will keep switching also, which is quite annoying after some time.

Ya, eyeing that but not so soon coz the price still high. Going to try a midrange one first, possibly the Redmi Note 5 or a Zenfone Max Pro M1 laugh.gif

In the meantime, back to the boring old iPhone laugh.gif

Surprised that you left the boat at the same time as me!
I sold mine to a friend last week and I still miss my P20 until now.

I purchased the HTC U11+ (being a solid HTC fan), and I just realized why Huawei has overtaken one of the Android leaders in the industry.

No, it's NOT about the camera (give and take, both phones are excellent in their own way).
It's all about the overall user experience.

I hate to admit the fact that HTC Sense is as dated as the old HTC One M8.
Nothing has changed and being boring has no place in 2018.

My first ever HTC phone was the HTC One M7 which I think is THE BEST Android smartphone in its time.
The following year, I bought my first Huawei - the Ascend P6.
But then I missed HTC so much so I moved on to the HTC One M8 (which again is the best smartphone that year).

Ironically, the tables have turned.
I miss Huawei badly that I am thinking of selling (or keeping for old time's sake) my U11+ for the P20.

I think HTC has not only fallen behind Huawei, but many others too, which is a shame coz they do make good phones, haha. I tried the U11 which I thought was better than the S8 at that time but like you said, HTC Sense was dated and it showed laugh.gif

The one thing I didn’t quite like about the P20 Pro was the lack of the 3.5mm audio jack, and the supplied USB C earphones were awful and no match for HTC’s USB C u-Sonic earphones. I prefer the wired earphones option sometimes, especially if I have to take a conference call. But other than that, yeah, Huawei is ahead by some distance.

Anyways, I actually listed my P20 Pro last night thinking it’ll be another 1 or 2 weeks before I get an offer but surprisingly it was a swift sale. The phone is well and truly still in demand biggrin.gif

A company led by family, a traditional way of managing business isn't working for them.
They are too stubborn and still has the audacity to sell expensive devices despite the fact that they are losing.

I also wish they can bounce back at least on the Motorola level (which is the Top 2 vendor in South America).
We need more option and thankfully, Huawei is a good alternative in a world full of Apples and GALAXYs...

No bro, I listed it for 2.5k nett, non negotiable. I bought it at 2712 after Qoo10’s voucher and got a ShopBack rebate of 100, making my actual cost 2612. Don’t feel right selling at 2.6k biggrin.gif
