Anybody upgraded their brake lines to steel braided hose?

I read somewhere that upgrading stock rubber brake lines to steel braided ones could reduce or solve the dead travel issue when braking.

Worth a try?

Today changed our car's stock ori Denso horn (the small circular horn) to Bosch Evolution Fanfare compact horn (the dual orange coloured horn).

Sounds like a proper car horn now. Not a motorcycle horn.

Do you need to have a new housing for the cameras?

i think from standstill, hard to win perodua?
*
Never lost to any perodua from standstill at traffic lights.

Maybe people in my area drive slow. Or they drive normally.

Which jackass drive pedal to the metal at traffic light, every time.

Fail la if like that. Not that perodua cars are fast. People like to drive fast only.

It is a shame that the rear bumper remains unchanged.

My personal opinion.

I'm broken af and trying to replace wiper blade.
Thinking to save money by buying wiper refill and replace myself.

May I know which type and what width Persona using?
https://shopee.com.my/Wiper-Refill-ALL-TYPE...1715.1500553045

Or bangsawan a bit

Our car is using the push button type.

24" + 16 " sizes.

Recently I've bought this one:

Was too lazy to replace the wiper silicone

Need to change my tyres for my 2018 persona coz botak already.

Can I double check if the tyre size is 185/55 (as per the first post) or is it 195/55 as what I’ve seen from earlier discussion?

Also any tyre shop recs in Segambut/Hartamas area? I only know there’s a Lim Tayar here and they seem kinda expensive. Also any recs for tyres that are decently affordable? Don’t need to be so fancy coz I’m only town driving and don’t really drift etc lol
*
Stock size is 185/55R15.

However, you can fit 195/55R15 as well. Got more choices, better availability with better pricing.

doubt they change the absorber set up, let alone the brand of it for the facelift model. only different rim size but rest suspension is the same
*
Let me ask the SC what do they say if I wanna get the 2019/2022 model absorber installed on my car, when I send the car for service in October.

Does it have the same part number, or not.

I will share the answer later.

I would recommend Etiqa Takaful as you'll get 200km free towing without add on.

My proton persona 2016 feels a bit shaky when driving....

Is there something that I can do to make my drive more smooth and stable? Like less shaky and bumpy...

Anything other than tyre rebalancing?
*
The easiest would be reducing the tyre pressure.

Next would be upgrading absorbers

Thanks for your input. I did the test drive on saturday. Overall it’s good. Just that a bit dissapointed the car dont have duplicate key
*
Couldn't you find a unit that has both keys? For me it is already a red flag if don't have both keys.

How can the previous owner lose such a thing?

Hi all Persona user, may I ask does you all apply wax after washing your car?
Does it really has an effect to protect the car paint

And will the wax being wash away during the next car wash?

Was ask to top up for waxing during carwash. I agreed and considering should I do it again for next carwash
*
I just use the "wash & wax" solution.

For me it only gives the clean & shine look.

My daily route to office in Klang have lots of road chips flying. Lots of battle scars.

In my opinion, Proton cars paint are quite durable compared to some japanese makes.

Was thinking of wrapping the front bonnet

Hey guys, what is the optimal and maximum size for persona 2016?

The tyre shop seller told me to take 195/55 from the 185/55

So the larger the size, the more stable in cruising right?
*
Yeah. 195/55R15 tyres are easier to find & cheaper compared to 185/55R15.

Slightly improved road handling.

Is it possible to go larger even more to get better road handling??

What is the maximum size
*
Wider tyres increase road contact this improving road handling. But the downside is the risk of aquaplaning is higher.

The widest tyre I've seen on our persona was 205/50R15

For those still having center storage / arm rest installed, is it blocking hand break?
*
Will only happen if there is something wrong with your rear drum brakes & your handbrake became loose. It will be a clear indicator to get it serviced.

Other than that, okay for me. No hindrance.

Further question, I know for disc brake we can see the thickness of brake pad to know how long it still can tahan.
How to check the same for drum brake? Any indicator for Persona?
*
Never got the chance to drive this car long enough.

However, based on previous experience with Kelisa. Either hand brake gets loose or metal screeching noise.

It is a good practice to get the rear brake drum serviced/checked annually. Especially if the car is a high mileage car
