Just a quick question. Any decent service  center around KL/Klang valley area?

I was told senaxis was one of the better one. Are they still the best service center around?

I've been sending my 2017 Persona to Eon Glenmarie (previously known as) Proton Edar Glenmarie since 2017.

Their foremen are quite experienced & knowledgeable. Saved me a few times instead of relying from diagnosis of external workshops.

Nice, do they take long time to service the car and try to push you some random goodies like magnetic trap or throttle body wash?

Easy to book slot on last minute notice ke?
*
As usual, when they are good, there is a long line queuing for service.

I usually make appointment via app a few weeks prior.

If there is an urgent matter that is a safety risk, they will accept short notice or walk-in (in my case, since my car is a regular, the foremen & SA is more willing to do this).

About the "extra" product & services, I'm not sure if they do this to newbies or new customers. However, they already know who I am so they have long stop offering those to me. Only during my first year of ownership they tried to pull that stunt.

Now it has been 6 years. I'm still sending my car for service there.

Is this done by Proton Edar Glenmarie also?
My car since day 1 cannot get more than 450km per tank. These few years around 350-400km only. doh.gif
*
Yes. Now known as EON glenmarie

I've similar experience regarding the mileage.

In my case, the FC got worst after upsize tire fitment, hence opt for engine retuning.

There is a drawback though. The latest engine tuning setup is geared for optimal fuel saving. Expect engine or transmission response to be less sporty than previous.

Yes. Proton Eon Glenmarie 3S. Previously it was known as Proton Edar Glenmarie.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Does anyone tried to change the tires to 205/50R15? how does it drive compared to 195/55 or 195/50.

Currently rolling on 195/55 which I think its quite comfortable but felt the power was slightly zapped up by the larger tires diameter.
*
I'm using 205/50R16. Definitely can feel the extra weight of the wheels.

Furthermore, the latest engine tune that I have updated, are tuned for fuel efficiency, so no more sporty driving dynamics.

Engine response is a bit sluggish.

Anyone's Persona is having a weird long cranking issue? Seems to happen randomly to my car.
*
My 6 year old car just happened to have this issue.

Battery is new. OBD reset already done after battery change.

Maybe need to change spark plugs during next service

any1 can recommend a good workshop to perform brake hose change?

want to change to steel brake hose but afraid got some cheap knock-off.

had a few close encounter......brake had some dead travel and not bite enough.

the close encounter was....multiple occassion with bike, switch lane without looking at all.
*
I'm using FECC stainless steel braided brake hose with DOT4 brake fluid.

Only marginal braking improvement albeit reducing the dead travel significantly.

The key factor should be the brake pads & the tires.

not heard of FECC before. mind to point where you got it?

well, for brake fluid i think im gonna stick with proton brake fluid.
*
Bought it at shopee. Been serving me well for the past 2 years.

https://shp.ee/ifvshiu

I agree on the brake fluid. The proton one is also DOT4.

Mine also difficult to crank start maybe once a mth.

Saw on Persona FB group some ppl recommend to service throttle body

Recently went to SC to clean it, now seems easier to start the car.

Thanks for the info. I will try that too in the next service

Just changed to my 4th set of brake pads (1. original proton, 2. TRW DTEC, 3. Brembo OE Replacement) to Trestor Advantage (Blue box).

After run in / bedding in at 300km, I can say this is the best brake pads I've used on this car, to date.

Better braking power & significantly less dust compared to TRW & Brembo.

I could not hear anymore the squealing noise after bedding in period, as expected.

Will update more as time goes on about this brake pad

Hi, yesterday my key fob (Premium MC2) suddenly cannot be used to unlock the car from distance (usually can), only can unlock by putting it closer to door handle.

I thought the culprit is low battery so I changed the battery. But the problem persist.

1. May I know what caused this?
2. I thought key fob use CR2032 battery but car manual suggest CR1620. So which one should I use?

When is the last time you've change your car battery?

Hi Guys

What kind of engine oil are you using?,
The manual recommends the 10-30w semi synthetic oil that comes standard when you go for service in sc
I've been using the 5w-30 Fully oil since the beginning.
Would the engine response better with the thinner 10-30w oil

Thanks
*
I've been using 10W-30 semi for 5 years & later 5W-30 fully for 2 years.

Feels the same, honestly. Main reason for changing to fully was to extend oil change intervals. I decided to change engine oil based on mileage instead of time periods.

So, 10k km would take me roughly about 7-8 months instead of the normally recommended 6 months.

Anyone here always facing airbag issue with their car (2020 Persona)?

user posted image

I went to 2 service center for a total of 6 to 7 times now. The 2nd service center has been telling me it's a cable on the driver seat's side airbag.

Now they want me to leave my car there for them to open a Market Investigation Report.

Is this a widespread issue?
*
That could be the problem. I had a similar issue with my Saga FLX 1.6 SE.

Problem solved after that was replaced.

I would just leave the car with them if I were you. Let them check the car throughly.

Request for a courtesy car if possible.
