QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Aug 18 2020, 01:26 AM) hey guys, want to ask if using osram night breaker laser H7 for my proton persona is legal? Malaysia follow the UNR48 regulation where the brightness intensity of the headlamp must not exceed 4300K.are LED legal? Furthermore, according to JPJ, any headlamp retrofit outside of original specs of the car is considered illegal. However, retrofitting of DRL is permissible. QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Aug 18 2020, 08:00 AM) What does retrofitting of DRL means? Fitting Daytime running lights on the car where originally the car doesn't have it.And would it be hard to check since newer models of persona have white headlights? I thought the new Persona s are using reflector halogen headlamps? Those white lamps are definitely retrofit. It would be easy to spot by authorities. QUOTE(Christy8012 @ Aug 23 2020, 12:04 PM) Hi all, how long would the absorbers generally last under normal city driving? My car is will be 3 years old ghis December but i noticed recently the ride seems hard when going over bumps compared to before. Could it be my absorbers need replacement? Usually for normal city driving & carrying normal loads, your stock absorbers could last about 120k km.You could also check your tyre pressure. It could also make your ride a bit bumpy when going over bumps. |

QUOTE(xeon1989 @ Aug 25 2020, 03:09 AM) It really depends on your driving style & also the condition when you pump the tyres. If you frequently drive at high speeds, you need to pump extra +20 kPa on top of the recommended tyre pressure. Also, if you pump your tyres on a hot day or when the tyres are hot, please add extra +30 kPa on top of the recommended tyre pressure. QUOTE(tHe^CuLpRit @ Aug 24 2020, 09:05 AM) Hey All, looking to get the Persona premium soon. It depends on you.As per the SA, it comes with a factory fitted "security tint". If we're to install additional tint from another source, do we need to remove the standard tint? Also, is the standard tint good enough for daily use? Some people just apply another layer on top of the security tint. However, some tinting shops said that on this case they cannot give their warranty. For my case, I only remove the original security tint on the front windscreen & 4 side windows. The rear windscreen security tint was left untouched & added another layer of tinting. So, tint warranty applies for the 5 windows. Main reason was I don't wanna risk of tearing the defogger lines on the rear windscreen when removing the security tint. |

Just changed my 2017 Persona's original front brakepads to TRW DTEC ceramic brake pads.
Immediate difference can be felt in terms of braking power. Previously the original front brakes always have a tendency of long travel during braking. Even when new. Eager now to upgrade the front brake disc to TRW XPS next year when it becomes available. |

Anyone gotten the same brand of tyres? Maybe new oem tyre beside silverstone kruizer & goodyear assurance triplemax |

QUOTE(tctham @ Sep 28 2020, 04:57 PM) Give and take lo.. my car only around rm 46k. Cheapest honda city/ jazz toyota vios also around rm 70k+ Agreed. In fact the fuel saving does not justify the extra cost of ownership. That's rm24k+ premium at least. And... my mom's honda jazz.. albeit more powerful and faster pickup, it has poor handling, poor driver seat, and poor steering feedback compared to my persona. Given a choice, i will still choose back persona due to the handling. Every time drive, puts a smile in my face. |

QUOTE(tctham @ Dec 3 2020, 01:48 PM) not really. but if you want, can do outside. For my Sona, I usually do not rotate the tyres.if you want, you can also opt to rotate your tires at 5k km, 15k km, 25k km and etc. this also can be done outside. when you're doing this, you can do your alignment and balancing too. pros, you get a balanced ride, your car tires should wear evenly. cons, when it's time to replace tires, all 4 need to go at the same time. I will keep driving till the front tyres reach wear indicator, then buy 2 new tyres & put them in rear. The previous rear tyres swap to the front. For me, this way will ensure my tyres have efficient grip for my driving style. The tyres usually last roughly about 45k km for me. Since 195/55R15 tyres are relatively affordable & have many choices, I do it this way so I could try more tyres that are available in the market. However, I do not mix between 2 types of tyres. For example, touring mix with UHP tyre. I always keep using one type of tyre. In my case, UHP tyres. This post has been edited by amscouzach57: Dec 8 2020, 07:51 AM |

Do you think is it possible to install the ori absorbers from 2019 model to a 2017 model?
I believe the absorbers on the 2019 model has been improved compared to the 2017 one. |
