the twitch and wifi is different issue, regarding the twitch several member here are experience it as well.

about the wifi, u use 2.4GHz or 5GHz? 2.4GHz a lot of interference, so less chance to reach higher speed.

for stability and higher speed, u need 5GHz.
u use VDSL2 or GPON/fiber?

the turbo plan available for fiber only.
*
er... what's VDSL2 or GPON/fiber?

lol, i not that tech savvy...

Do you mean the very hard thin black wires? coming from outside to my TM modem?

yup, that black wire.

if landed, usually is fiber.

high rise is copper/vdsl2.

I found a router, ASUS RT-AC1200G+ Dual Band, is this good?

Thundermatch sells for RM409 only...

is it good?

What about the USB receiver for my desktop?

currently using the 150Mbps TP-link one.

to reach 500mbps on wifi, the router/ap and wifi adapter need to be rated at ac1200 n above.

that router seem ok, but i not sure how it perform in long term.

for wifi adapter, can get tplink t4u, around RM80+ at lelong if i am not wrong.

*
I see... how about asus one? USB-AC53 ?

You mean that how it perform in long term, is things like overheat or?

asus brands generally are good right? Switching brands is okay too.

Go to TMpoint, and ask.
Get the Asus RT-AC1300UHP, and get an AC wireless adapter.
*
The data rate for the model you recommended is like this.

802.11a : 6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54 Mbps
802.11b : 1, 2, 5.5, 11 Mbps
802.11g : 6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54 Mbps
802.11n TurboQAM : up to 150 Mbps
802.11ac : up to 150 Mbps

I don't quite get the Ac part, 150Mbps?

I see, TP-Link is more stable?

My house is about 20 x 80. Router in the center of the house.

That adapter is a a 2x2 spatial stream with max 867Mbps on 5GHz.
I highly doubt, even with the adapter and wifi router next to each other that one would be able to achieve 500Mbps throughput.
To attain 500/800Mbps wifi speeds in real world conditions consistently, the router and wifi adapter on the client needs to be at least a 3x3 spatial stream with max 1300Mbps on 5GHz.
*
in simple terms? biggrin.gif i can't seem to get what you mean.... hahaha... forgive me.

Don't look at the Asus MY page for the specs, it is incorrect.
https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC1300UHP/specifications/

RT-AC1300UHP is
802.11n: up to 400 Mbps
802.11ac: up to 867 Mbps

400+867=1267Mbps, rounded up to 1300. Hence, Asus calls it a 1300 class router.
*
hahaha.. lol... Hm... the 1200G+ seems ideal for me, price too.

One word, SHIT. Not sure about the latest versions, but V1 is what you get from TM, and it is lucky draw. Some is okay and some is not. If you want to get TP-Link, get the TP-Link C7 v4 at the very least, and the TP-Link C3150 v2 for high-end.
Do you mean this one: https://shopee.com.my/TP-LINK-New-Version-A...180984.72794323

I see... Thanks for your input.
